Does anyone know if it's possible to move patches from one device to another - ie from a B1four to a B3n? Ive tried moving patches to effect pool, but when I change devices over, the patches are there, but not available to be moved over to the new device. Using a Mac.

I use an Akai Unibass to good effect also. I think they're getting fairly rare these days. Has anyone had any joy recreating one on a Zoom B3n? If so I could move my Unibass on and reduce my footprint considerably!

I'm playing with Stray and The Blues Devils at The Beaverwood in Chislehurst tonight. Say hi if you come on over!

Check out the FBT range. I bought a pair of their X-Lite 12 tops and I'm really impressed.

Hartke LH500. Great condition and hardly used. Plenty of volume and heft! A couple of scratches on top panel and rubber feet removed for racking. Here's the blurb: LH500 Bass Amplifier The LH500, like its big brother, has a classic 12AX7 Class-A tube front-end design with a solid-state output. Developed with the HyDrive cabs in mind, the LH500 also has more than enough power and tone control to drive any cabinet on the market. This amp provides you with Treble and Bass Shelving to give its warm tone a little edge. Or use the brite and limiter switches to further sculpt your sound. Its intuitive front panel also makes adjustments on the fly a breeze. The LH500 packs a big punch in a portable, roadworthy package. A 2-rackspace metal frame chassis, steel faceplate and handles allow for easy, safe transport from gig to gig. With the needs of modern bass players largely centered around volume and versatility, the LH500 is an ideal solution that gives you plenty of options to create the exact sound you're looking for. £150 collected from Milton Keynes. Will post at buyers risk/cost.

I visited an old buddy today. In the early eighties I sold him my first ever bass - a Westone Thunder II. I regretted it ever since, but at least it quickly found it's forever home. Sadly he doesn't play anymore but won't sell it back to me. I visited him today and played it for the first time in 30 odd years! That's him in the pic, not me!

I'm in a quiet spot at the moment between bands. Touring with Stray kicks off in September, last gig with pub covers band was end of May I think - I have two deps in August. I thought I'd be crawling the walls by now but I'm absolutely not. Loving going to bed at a reasonable time on fridays and saturdays and not having a big chunk of my weekend taken up. Not missing mixing with steaming coked up drunks or trying to convince the best man's misses that we don't allow punters up to sing!! I'm really lucky to be stepping my game up soon and really looking forward to playing to people who are paying to see us and will hopefully treat us with some respect!

I wonder how many came into the UK?

I bought a Gator hard case with it - it's a guitar case in extra long - just about fits but you have to turn the 'G' string tuner sideways!

After a blooming long wait, I finally took delivery of a FSR Mustang, made in Mexico in Seafoam Pearl with a maple fretboard. The pearl finish is absolutely lovely. Nothing fancy about the maple board, but I'm pleased that the front is gloss whereas the back is satin. This'll probably be my number one bass for gigging with Stray. I was torn between a standard MIM and the American Performer - I was edging towards the US one for various reasons, but I'm a sucker for maple boards so when this came out I jumped on it. Its not mega light for a shortie - weighing in at 8.4 lbs - she seems to balance ok but I won't really be able to tell until she's gigged. The intonation was out a bit which I've sorted. The action was medium and neck relief just right - I've since got the action pretty low and she won't need any fettling. Sound wise, I've played with the pickup heights and been able to get the volume of the bridge pickup loud enough not to be dwarfed by the neck one so happy there, but I'm on the lookout for a SD quarter pounder set to drop in. Fret ends are all good so nothing else to do now except play her. I might replace the strings with TI flats but I'll give it a good playing in with these on first. I'm one very happy bunny!

If it's any use, I have a TMB30 and it easily fits in the Fender Urban Short Scale Gig Bag.
