  1. This Sunday I’ll be playing a home gig at The Stables in Milton Keynes with The Verity Bromham Band. 40/60 originals/covers - it’s Father’s Day so bring ya dads!
  2. I use one as my main gigging cab. Light and compact and all the volume you need. Voiced to cut through a band mix. Thoroughly recommend. GLWTS
  3. Thanks mate, played there a few times!
  4. STRAY are playing tonight at The Boom Boom Club in Sutton - located in Sutton United FC
  5. I've recently acquired an SR305 and an SR500. I rather like both of these but my wireless bug won't fit in the jack socket. I know I could easily make up a patch lead, but I'm wondering what solutions you good folk have come up with?
  6. Particularly with the sticker!
  7. Next up is this lovely vintage Yamaha PJ Bass. This has some provenance in that it belonged to Neil Gauntlett who was Joe Brown's guitarist. Neil, who sadly passed away, played this in his Country side project apparently. I'm friends with Neil's ex wife and that's how I came by the bass. It's in overall great condition with some dinks (more pics on request) and has a nice, punchy low mid focussed tone. It weighs in at 9.2 lbs but it is a little neck heavy so a decent strap should be used. Made from Mahogany. A little pitting on the lovely ornate bridge. All original. Pick up from Sunny Milton Keynes, can post at buyer's risk/cost or can meet at a train station between Euston and Crewe/Wolves/Brum Free Aum sticker included to focus your cosmic energy when playing!
  8. A bit of a rare one here. It's an SGC Nanyo 4 string. I believe the model is SB460. These were redesignated to SB611 in the mid 90's. This one is a 1995 model. We have a slim 3 piece maple neck with ebony fretboard and a Zebrawood on Maple Body. High quality components including gold Gotoh Tuners and Bridge. It sports the original SGC Pickups. The original preamp was shot so it's been replaced with an Artec pre. Nice and light at 8lb on my bathroom scales. This one is difficult to price so I'm going to plomp for £500 collected from sunny Milton Keynes. I can post at buyers cost and risk or potentially meet at a railway station on the West Coast Main Line between Euston and Crew/Wolves/Brum. I bought this back in 2012 from Mansons in Exeter. It's got a few light marks but is in remarkably good nick for a 29 year old bass. Dropping the price to £450
  9. 2016 model, in original condition as far as i can see. Comes with original soft case. Weighs bang on 9lb according to scales. Strung with TI flats. Collection from MK. I'm willing to post but for something of this value, I'd prefer you to arrange your own courier. I could potentially meet at a railway station on the West Coast main Line - Euston to Crew/Wolves/Brum. No trades as I'm thinning out! (Famous last words!) Price Drop £900
  10. Very nice condition apart from a nasty knock pictured. I've recently had this set up by Andy Viccars and plays nicely, with frets redressed BUT he says it won't take another dressing and will need refret. Collection from MK or Postage at buyers cost and risk. This was made in the Samick Factory - the logo is Gold with a back outline although it looks silver in the pic.
  11. Considering I’ve just paid £175 on here for one with knackered finish and the standard pre, this is a blooming bargain. I’m refinishing mine but would have snapped this up if I didn’t have one!
  12. It was - thus the model name - Jet as in ‘Jet Black’!
  13. Bargain. Been the centre of my rig in Stray for quite a while. I’ve only now just moved over to line 6 stuff, but this still knocks the socks off my stomp xl for filters and synths!
  14. I had to have my XLR socket replaced under warranty, other than that it's been faultless and well travelled. Try cleaning the FX send / return sockets and/or putting a patch cable between them.
  15. I bought a zoom fx pedal from Keir. Comms were good, item was as described and posted promptly and well packed. Deal with confidence.
  16. I’ll be at The Half Moon in Putney this coming Tuesday with Stray supported by Bedford’s finest, Thr3e. Would be smashing to see you!
  17. I wouldn’t worry mate, the Sires are cracking instruments too!
  18. Doh go on then I’ll take it if no one else will!
  19. Back to the pubs for me last night with a dep gig with my old band Isabelle at The Brave Old Oak in Towcester. Drummer really struggles with loud bass players, so I took in ears to supplement my rig so I could be fairly quiet on stage. Next step with this band will be to go amplesss for me. Anyway, I remembered all the stuff, decent crowd and went down well, home by 0045. Happy Daze!
