  1. Mighty Mite one piece maple precision neck. Very good condition with the exception of a tiny dink at the fourth fret. Two sets of screw holes on heel. This was fitted with traditional Fender tuners as well as another set so various tuner holes. When fitted with the Fender tuners (not included) you can see that the headstock is probably not big enough to accommodate them as the edge of the tuner sits about flush with the edge of the headstock. Vintage Tint and decal applied by Andy Viccars. Ninety sobs plus postage or collection from Milton Keynes
  2. Had a bit of a result, we've had our gig moved to The 100 Club on the same night 😎😎
  3. Bugger - was playing there in November.
  4. I've just ordered an Ibanez Talman in minty green having just missed out on the SH Mustang on here - shall report back soon!
  5. Anyone have any idea why the M81 has an output AND input level?
  6. Del's latest solo album White Feather is worth a listen too, very very good!
  7. Oh yeah - and very easy to get my sound. No shortage of . . . . .ermm . . . . . heft!
  8. They were originally from East Acton, but latterly Del moved out to Bletchley and now lives in Olney, not far from MK!
  9. Yes, that's right, we do have a gig there!
  10. I've had a fantastic opportunity and landed the bass slot with Del Bromham's Blues Devils/Stray. I had my first gig last night at the Legends of Rock Festival at Great Yarmouth where we were playing in the V Arena at 7.15. We were joined for a couple of numbers by an old band member - Pete Dyer who also travelled and stayed with us. I've had such a blast this weekend being looked after by the band and roadies and being regaled with stories from Del and Pete about the band's past - dodgy management, Charlie Kray, The Mafia and the Teamsters, just so much stuff! The set itself went really well, loads of energy, decent sound and a great reception despite a couple of techie issues, and I finally got to play through an SVT and fridge! To say I'm over the moon is an understatement and this is only the beginning. By far the best weekend of my musical career so far. Happy Tut!
  11. I'd just let it go mate. You seem to have built up a resentment over nothing there, and its poisoning you. Why don't you share their social media advertising, saying that you played at the festival last year and you wish them luck for this year. You get promo, the festival gets promo, the charity gets more money and you get a nice warm feeling that you've done some good in the world. Everyone's a winner baby!!
  12. Thanks Bazzbass - it's looking like i will!
  13. I've just been offered the opportunity to join a signed band, doing gigs at bigger venues than I'm used to around the UK. My current main band play pubs, clubs and functions. I decided I'd be better to tell the core of the band (hubby and wife) face to face, so I went round to their place on a Sunday morning. I explained my situation and told them that I'd like to continue gigging with them up until the end of June, by which time they'd need to have recruited a new bass player. This fitted fine with the new band's plans and has given my old band plenty of time to recruit. They've not been dropped in the doo doo and we remain friends. Successful conclusion!
  14. I can remember, when I started playing on bands, I used to make a point of watching the kick drum to make sure I was playing in synch with it.
  15. Thank you mister - I'll get on it!
  16. Or as Chris B said, 2 1x12's. The little Eden EX112's are amazing. You could prob pick up a pair new for £400
  17. Barefaced Big Baby 2 mate. I'vr only gone 4x10 because I've joined an old school rock band. My BB2 has seen me through all my pub, club and function needs.
  18. I had one of these. Mahogany body but black blocks. It was stunning and I really regret selling it. Had loads of low end which I'm guessing was down to the mahogany. Good luck with the sale!
  19. I have a lovely Bubinga Corvette which is just fab - although I do find the ergonomics a little awkward. I recently picked up a Fortress One which is also fab. It's incredibly comfortable, body wise, with a much toppier sound than the Corvette. Having read about both basses, I was led to believe that the Fortress had a chunkier neck than the Corvette. With this in my subconscious, I've convinced myself that, preferring the skinny neck of my Corvette, I should swap them over to create a Warwick Fortrette - a Fortress with a Corvette neck. So I got both the basses out, took the strings off the Fortress, had a quick look at the screw patterns of both basses and prepared for surgery. Just before I changed them over, I thought I'd measure both necks - and guess what . . . . . ? They both seem to measure exactly the same width at the nut and the heel. Measuring depth is awkward, but they appear to be the same. So I've made my decision on how each neck feels by a preconception brought on by reading threads on the internet rather than how they actually feel. Does anybody know if they actually have a different profile or radius or whether they're identical? The Fortress is from 95 and the Corvette from 96.
  20. Is this still available?
  21. The fan in my old Trace Elliot AH 250 battleship is a bit on the noisy side. Does anyone know of anything I could get off the shelf to replace the fan?
  22. I've been offered a musical opportunity that's too good to turn down so I'm helping my band recruit a new bass player. The band are called Isabelle and are a female fronted five piece, with a keyboard player that doubles on second guitar. They play a lot of the usual function stuff plus a bit of rock with the two guitars. They play a mix of pubs and functions. Last year they did 45 gigs. Website - www.thebandisabelle.co.uk You'll be versatile and reliable with decent gear and transport. Backing vocals an asset, and the ability to get on with the rest of the band essential. Drop me a PM if you're interested and I'll put you in touch. The successful applicant will be required to start gigging around the end of June.
