  1. I regularly gig a big baby ii. I used to have two of them but it was overkill. I play in a Classic Rock band doing lots of festivals and big stages. Never ran out of volume.
  2. Milton Keynes - might as well be Egypt cos that’s a schlep for me to drive!
  3. Lovely
  4. I hope you've notified any nearby seismologists!
  5. What's the weight of this beauty please?

  7. There’s less metal on the grooved ones so they don’t provide quite as much sustain!!
  8. Gawd - Cetera for me. I mainly use a GK MB500 through a Barefaced Big Baby II OR A Schroeder 2x12. I’ve also got and Eden 4x10 and a Trace 1 x 15. Ive got both iterations of the Bugera Veyron heads, an Ashdown ABM 500, three old school Trace Heads, a 1969 Laney Supergroup 100, a Markbass 1x12 Combo and a little Roland practice combo. I should really get shot of the Trace stuff. As much as I love it it seldom gets used.
  9. Let me know if this sale falls through fella!
  10. That’s a beautiful thing at a good price. I’ve got a lovely Bubinga Corvette that I rarely play so I’d be an idiot to add this to the collection but good luck with the sale.
  11. Thanks - I’m tempted. I see they’re creeping up in price a bit!
  12. Do these have a passive bypass? If so, does the tone control work in passive? And do they come with a gig bag?
  13. @Stub Mandrel there ya go - let me know if they’re good for ya.
  14. I’ll put some better pics up later bud 😎
  15. Just checked the Thunderbird over and there are a couple of dings, but nothing major. It now has history!
  16. We played a private party yesterday evening with The Verity Bromham band. Well organized and looked after. I took my Thunderbird but realised Del hadn’t bought his usual ‘guitar garage’ for me to stand it in. He kindly offered to let me use a double hanging stand he had for his guitars. I set up and wandered offstage only to watch Del grab his Les Paul from the stand, which promptly toppled over along with my Thunderbird. It all happened in slo mo - me having visions of a trip to our local luthier for a headstock refit. But no, a stage light broke its fall and it fell on carpet. Not only was the headstock still intact but there wasn’t a mark on the bass . . . . . Phew! Had a good evening, ext stop Cambridge Rock Festival on Friday and Saturday week.
  17. Um, how could I tell? Do you want some better pics?
  18. I bought a compressor from Dan yesterday. I picked it up from his house not much to report but good clear and prompt comms so all good! 😎
  19. Easy peasey eh? Shame you were busy but I guess some of us have to work!
