1. hi Jonny. No problem mister. I've had it from new from the early days of my current band so I'd guess it's about 8 or 9 years old. I bought it to power subs on outside gigs, so consequently I doubt it's been used more than 15 or 20 times. Absolutely no issues with it, but if you're interested I'll make sure I get it up and running before you make a journey. Most of our gigs are pubs and clubs and out guitarist has invested in an AER pa with powered tops and subs, so this is just taking up much needed space.
2. £800 £800 £800 Back up for sale . . . I recently acquired this in a trade. I was trying to thin my collection and was offered two basses in exchange for my Custom Shop 64 Jazz. Not a great start to a slimming down I know. Of the two I got, to be honest, both are keepers, and the other bass I'm keeping. If I didn't have a surfeit of Jazz basses, including a 74, I'd be keeping this one. Anyway. It's a 75 reissue, serial number indicates 2008. It weighs 8.8 pounds and is all original, with OHSC, covers and all the candy. It's almost immaculate . . . . a couple of very light marks on the back which are impossible to photograph, a hairline scratch on the neck which I've tried to photograph, and the usual cleaning swirls. The action goes low . . . I've just set it up to around 2mm at the 12th fret and it's strung with 100 gauge pro steels. I'm in no rush to sell this, and if there's no interest I'll just love n cherish her and take her out to play occasionally! So - £[s]850[/s] £800 collected from sunny Milton Keynes . . . or . . . last resort . . . posted at cost via parcel force. The nature of my work means I don't have a place where I can wait for a courier so need to take it to a local depot. Payment via good old folding stuff or bank transfer please. If posted uninsured this will be completely at buyers risk. No trades, no offers and no overseas sales. Please don't be offended if I don't enter into correspondence re these points. And to the pics . . .
3. Fully working, good condition 12 inch powered monitor. I'm downsizing my gear so this one's going. This'll comfortably handle bass if you need it to and is a great sounding and robust monitor. There's a couple of extra screw holes in the casing where it once had an additional handle. Price is firm no trades please :-)
4. I don't think this was Bassdude's as it's not lightweight. On my digital bathroom scales it weighs bang on ten pounds.
5. A pair of tatty old no name vented cabs loaded with 4 ohm eminence Delta 15 LF speakers. They work fine and sound good used as bass bins for a PA, or you could use them as a bass cab, but be warned, they tend to shake a head off the cab unless the head is tied down. Nice solid bottom end with lots of authority - sound quite old school as no tweeter. Din sockets not connected but jacks work ok. Looking for £40 each or would sell the drivers separately for £30 each. Could post the drivers at cost, otherwise to be collected from sunny Milton Keynes :-)
6. Trans Red Sterling with maple neck for sale. Lovely bass. No issues but a few minor marks which have been photographed. I think the buckle rash would probably cut out with some compound. It's a bit aggressive sounding for me and the ultra slim neck is a bit small even for my tiny hands. Bought this from the forum - for sale for - £600 Don't really want to post but would at a push - at cost - via parcel force. If posted uninsured this would be completely at buyers risk. Alternatively and preferably, collection from sunny Milton Keynes. Payment by cash or bank transfer. Absolutely no trades or overseas buyers. I won't enter into correspondence regarding trades or overseas sales so please don't be offended when I don't reply
7. Would this be why none of the class D stuff I've tried ever seems to have that indefineable goodness I can get from my old Trace AH250£
8. We use two of these, http://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_xbrick_fullcolour_16x3w.htm With occasionally some showy stuff at the back facing the audience and haze. Small and easy to use. We're only a trio though so not many of us to light up!
9. Soooootempted!
10. Behringer xm8500. Suits my voice better than a 58. Had two of these for 7 or 8 years as spares, they now get used in preference, one for me vox and one in the kick. Still going strong!
11. As the title says please?
12. Not sure if I'm ok to post this as technically advertising for a non bass playing relative. Mods - please delete if not appropriate. An 'E Serial' Fender Jazz Bass Special. Made in Japan in a kind of metallic pink with black neck and headstock. My cousin asked me if i knew anyone interested in buying it so I've given it a good look over had the neck off to adjust truss rod. I can list the details and pass on a phone no if anyone's interested. Generally the bass is sound although not in fantastic cosmetic condition. Worst of all is a dink/split between two of the pots - pictured. The neck is ok and nothing on it to affect playability. Truss rod works fine. The 'P' pickup isn't working. Wiring inside the cavity looks ok so either a wire is off the pup, the pickup itself is dead or, my hunch is, the selector switch is knackered. Tuners all work ok. Bridge all works but is quite corroded as is the neck plate. Assorted knobs! It wouldn't cost much to get this cleaned up and playing well. It's not overly heavy, and sounded pretty resonant with no extreme dead spots noted. I suggested selling as seen for £350. Sorry about the quality of the pics, but just had me phone. Message me if you're interested and I'll pass a number on. The bass is based in Letchworth, but that's too far for me to go back for more pics I'm afraid. If I wasn't trying to slim my collection down I'd have had it myself!
