Classic Trace Elliott head for sale. The AH200 delivers 200 Watts at 4 ohms . . . but make no mistake, these are Trace Watts and are blooming loud! The amp is a Series 6 with the GP12 12 band preamp which features a switchable graphic eq and shape switch. In good condition and full working order with all knobs and slider tips present. A couple of the chassis screws on the top are non original. It's obviously taken a knock at some time as a casting at the back and a corner of the heatsink is bent. I think this was designed as a studio amp due to the fact there's a heatsink rather than a fan, but I've gigged it loads of times including at outdoor gigs - i've attached a video of it in use with my old band Base Elegance. Comes complete with Rack Ears. Looking for £[s]180[/s] £150 collected from Milton Keynes. Will post at cost. The cull continues. Going next is my SQ serial Squier Precision. Absolutely awesome and light instrument - weighs bang on 8lb on my electric bathroom scales. These date from 83/84 and were the run following the JV series. Highly sought after basses. All original except for Dunlop Straplocks fitted - currently fitted with a tort pick guard, the original white one comes with it. It's got a nicely figured three piece ash body. It's got heavy marks of usage, particularly on the side of the body beneath the controls. A few small marks on the neck but nothing that affects playability. This is a marvellously resonant instrument with a load of bottom mid to the sound that really supports a band in the mix and has received a load of positive comments when I take it out. Unfortunately the neck on standard P's are just too wide and flat for me, and as i own a pretty awesome 76 with a jazz width neck, this ones got to go. Not overly keen on trades on this one and would prefer the buyer to try her out in Milton Keynes before buying. [s]£400 [/s]£380 Pics

In my quest to get down to a less obscene amount of basses, I'm reluctantly selling my Viccars Custom fretless five. Very difficult to price but £600 is what it's worth to me. Only really selling because I find it hard to change between fives and four string basses, and I already have a nice MIJ fretless Jazz. I'll try to describe it as best I can, but can't find the spec sheet just now. I can ring Andy to clear up any queries you might have. Five piece laminate maple and mahogany neck through. The body is a mahogany core topped and backed with birds eye maple, matched wooden electronics and battery cover. Looks like some kind of a burl top on the headstock. A nice light 8.2 lb on my electric bathroom scales. Ebony fretboard, strung with ground wounds. MM style Bartolini pickup in the bridge position with a straight through battery bypass. Two band active eq with a three position switch which I would guess is a coil tap and series / parallel switch. Schaller machine heads. Great looker and player and sounds awesome. There are some gigging marks on it that are in the pics. I'd prefer any potential buyer to come see her in the flesh in Milton Keynes before buying so you know exactly what you're getting. £600 firm - no trades please. Pics . . . After much soul searching, I've decided to sell my Custom Shop Jazz. I don't know too much about it's history, but I traded it from Old Horse Murphy a few years back. It's an unusual colour, like Guy Pratt's. It's a closet classic so I can't tell what marks on it are supposed to be there and what is genuine wear, but there's nothing desperate at all. There's quite a bit of checkering in the lacquer, particularly on the headstock, and some indentations from the bridge cover . . . consequently I'd prefer any potential buyers to come check her out in Milton Keynes before pulling the trigger. This had been fitted with Wizard 84's with the original pups coming separate, but the originals have been put back in, and this is what she comes with. All original except for the strap locks, which are dunlop ones. No case unfortunately, but all the case candy shown in the photo is available. Weighs bang on 9lb. No dead spots that I can notice. She does anything you'd expect a jazz to do. I really don't want to sell this, but I have some lower end jazzes that play and sound well that I feel much more comfortable taking to gigs, so it's hard to have a bass of this value hanging on the wall. Consequently price is firm and no trades please. Please feel free to ask any questions or request further pics . . . I thought of that but heard some not so good reports on it. Have you used one? Is it any good?

I recently put an Artec SE 2 into a nice Bass Collection bass. I'm really pleased with the results and thinking of turning one of my jazzes active. I know a good luthier who can relocate an jack socket to the bottom leaving me a four hole plate but I'm worried the room 'under the hood' will be tight. Has anyone fitted an SE 2 into a Jazz . . . . any tips?

I just fitted an Artec SE 2 into my bass collection. Vast improvement on the original, and quite happy with the original pups. Happy boy! -
