1. OK - does it so the other thing - where it listens to your guitarists chords and works out the harmonies to put alongside your voice?
2. Hiya! Interested in this - can you manually set the key for the harmony instead of getting it to detect the key of the song from a guitar/keyboard? Cheers Col
3. I sometimes gig at The Cross Tree in Byfield . . . . kind of . . . . bump!
4. I use a digitech BSW on setting 2 - kind of an envolope follower with an octave down. I think it tracks pretty well and the sound is great - but it's not hugely versatile. Just my ha'penneth.
5. Before pimping, I's personally try to set the bass up to make the most of what you've got - ie adjusting the pickup height and angle. I've owned a few warwicks with MEC electrics and been pretty happy with them! Did you buy the bass new? It's possible that the B string is from a different set, consequently sounding different - just a thought!
6. What 'don't' you like about the pups and pre that are in it?
7. Most of the bands in Milton Keynes inc us have cancelled tonight - the snow is terrible here :-(
8. Thanks for this thread. Playing in a Floyd tribute I've got most of the sound right but playing fingerstyle - some of the songs haven't had the right attack. We recently played a gig where the keyboard player was having trouble picking up the tempo on 'sheep' so at the next gig i played it with a plec to make the bass cut through more - what a revelation! I'm following this thread with interest now - and learning loads - thanks peeps!
9.
Yeah, he did it to resemble a few years of ageing, for some reason head stocks always seem darker than fingerboards, so although it looks quite a contrast at the minute it should even out as it ages naturally. The guy is called Dave Wilson, he is a brilliant, I cant recommend him enough and wouldnt trust an instrument to anyone else really. Daves site I love the bass, always loved P basses but never liked the sound of them when i play one but this sounds great, really deep and fat with definition and doesn't disappear when the band kick in. Cheers Dave
Actually the front of the headstock should be darker than the rest - apparently they used a different lacquerfor the front - something to do with chemical reaction with the decal - consequently the front goes a lot darker than the rest. As for 'The' PF tribute band - I think you'll find that's mine . . . . 'This One's Pink' LOL Something old . . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flVmVWGpdw8 Something old but not as old as . . . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85rMkXPcfMU That's my very talented son on guitar. On the Comfortably Numb vid he's playing a Jap strat that he bought off here (the smelly black refin if anyone remembers) that he's finished himself in (I think) Peugeot red LOL! Anyroadup - nice job on the bass - looks lovely! Roger, sorry Tony, sorry Guy . . . . . . Col

11. Sorry Tom - mustn't post when pissed! Posts deleted!
12. Flanker's got one - ask him what it's like - definitely a bargain for forty squids!
13. Bump - Chris Wolsenholme required to make this sound like Muse!
14. Function band . . . . plug in baby . . . . . . does not compute. Wish i had some of your functions mate LOL!
15. Sold Trev my thumb. We had a couple of false starts that were totally out of Trev's control - however he kept me fully informed all the time. When we finally got together everything went fine. Trev's a smashing bloke and a good guy to deal with - recommended!
16. Not sure what the body wood and pup config is on your bass. The ergonomics are very different though.
17. What's the difference between a GS 112 and a DB 112. Would a GS go well together with a DB?
