That's the second blooming driver that's gone in this pair - not sure if it's the same actual one - could something be wrong with the crossover or have I just hammered them too much? The speakers are pretty much redundant to be honest so guess it'll make a nice big paperweight!! Now - what to do with the other driver? Are these speakers good for bass cabs?

    Not strictly backline but . . . . I got a pair of Peavey PA speakers that I've loaded with Kappa 15 pro's. One of them is putting sound out of the tweeter but not the woofer. I've put a multimeter across the terminals - can't find any voltage but there seems to amps there (sorry I'm not much of electricity buff!). However - whichever way I put the probes on the terminals - the amps are popping the needle against the stop. I'm assuming that as I'm reading 'something' at the speaker terminals, then it must be the speaker that's gone kaputt? Would that be the considered opinion of the experts out there? And I'm assuming that if the speaker is shot, there's nothing I can do about it except replace it? Any thoughts? Cheers!

You're probably right. OK folks - I'm not gonna bother to edit it - but if you really want the Muse sound you need to buy shedloads of effects and be able to play as well as Chris Wolstenhome. Please note - buying this cab WILL NOT make you sound like Chris. Is everybody clear on that? Sorry mate you caught me on a bad day!

    OK - here's your chance to get a piece of that lovely Muse tone without having to fork out for a whole stack! For sale is Marshall 72410 - 4 x 10 combo in IMMACULATE condition. The cab part of this combo is rated at 4 ohms so you get the full 200 Watts. This amp series is unusual because the power supply is set up so that peak power is reportedly 10 times the RMS rating - unlike conventional amps where it's usually around double (please be gentle with me on this - tech heads - it's how I understand it!) It features a blendable tube/solid state front end, graphic and on board compressor - see the link and pics for more info. The only reason I'm selling this is because it's a bit big for my needs - I usually have to transport the PA as well as my bass rig - being the singer, and I can't fit it all in with this thing!!     I just watched the show and enjoyed. The Phil Colilns thing didn't really do it for me and I still think Boy George can't sing. But I enjoyed the Ronson thing overall, enjoyed The manics, Klaxtons and Queen Emily. Don't know much about Trumpet but herp quickly downed it when he couldn't get into Happy Birthday - and on his slot he seem ed to be having some trouble making the notes properly - but I still enjoyed it! What was the bass the guy in Manics was playing? Looked groovy and didn't sound too bad - although a telly production is maybe not the best representation. BTW all the above observations were enhanced by the bottle of wine I won at the gig raffle on Saturday night!!

    Yeah - I nearly got the $$ off here - the one with gold hardware - was a really nice bass but it didn't happen. In the meantine I acquired a lovely Sandberg California JM which I think will fill my needs adequately - yummy!
