King Tut

Have you thought about one of the Nemesis 1 x 15? I've got the 1 x 15 and the 4 x 10 and I reckon the 15 trumps the 4x10 hands down! Very manageable also.

I regularly use a Behringer feedback killer in line with our two monitors - and we hardly ever have feedback problems. I also use a graphic inline - I play piped music through it and try to eq out anything that sonds unnatural, and routinely cut the top and bottom couple of bands.

Don't wanna state the obvious - but you've noticed it doesn't come with a body?!

I'm glad someones posted this. Andy Viccars (well respected local luthier and bass player) always reckons you should roll the volume on the pickup back a bit to find it's sweet spot. I usually have mine full on but do roll it back occasionally for quieter passages - but I'm interested - DOES volume level affect the tone?

Or try a tiny dab of loctite on the saddle screw threads.

I seem to remember reading that Sting's was Alder. Mine is ash - I love it and have no problem with the stinglay - but why make it of a different wood from the original - although I gotta say I lurve ash basses!

I had an MM3 5 string - it was lovely and I regret letting it go!

I've got a Custom Shop 64 closet classic in those colours and it's just awesome. I was playing in a Floyd tribute at the time I got it so bought a set of EMG's to go on it to be like Guys (sad I know!) but they wouldn't slot in without me widening the routs - so I've left it with the originals in. I've got a few really nice basses but this one is definately one of my best!

If you fancy some classic rock, I'm quitting Insurrection at the end of the year mate! What's with the change of name dude? Regards Col
