  1. I’ll be playing at The Cart and Horses in London with Stray this Saturday.
  2. Truss Rod Cover and scratch plate came from his band mate’s bass that his mate played in the band ‘Tobruk’ apparently!
  3. Ricks for main and support acts last night. Me on the left hamming it up with support band ‘Thr3e’s’ Dom Rentle. Not sure what Dom’s is but mines a 77 Burgundyglo 4001.
  4. Played at The Craufurd Arms with Stray last night supported by Bedford’s Thr3e. Really good home crowd and good sound thanks to our recently acquired sound engineer Stuart. I took my 77 Ric into a Bugera MOSFET and Eden 4x10. I always struggle to get a decent on stage bass tone at that venue but apparently it sounded great out front (thanks James!). Cart and Horses in London to come next Saturday!
  5. Thanks - I'll get in touch via pm in the next day or so.
  6. Are you interested in trades at all my good man?
  7. Taking my 77 Burgundyglow to a gig tonight. Porn to follow!
  8. Last one I got was through Amazon’s German site. Just put some glow tech stickers on my thunderbird and they’ve stood up to a couple of rehearsals.
  9. Stray will be playing at Love Live at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool late afternoon tomorrow. If you’re there, say hi!
  10. That’s gotta be worth a punt for 20 squids. Tempted to drive over from MK!
  11. Can you fuzz the octave and leave the dry signal unfuzzed?
  12. I’d be on this if I didn’t have a Jetglo 4003 already. Great price!
  13. Played at The Black Market at Warsop last night with The Verity Bromham Band. Multi band gig with two stages, decent organisation and sound. We had a great night - what stood out for me was the supplied Megoliath 8x10 bass cab. By far the best cab I’ve ever played through! Using my Bugera MOSFET it had huge volume and depth but unlike an SVT there was real clarity. Absolutely stunning bit of kit!
  14. I'll take this please - I'll fire you a PMI
  15. I'd love this - if only i were closer!
  16. I wear a wedding ring and a ring on my middle finger. I take them off when I play and they sit on a chain around my neck next to my late parents’ wedding rings!
  17. I’ve got a Flea. Really really nice indeed. Specs wise I’d go for the shallow neck radius and headstock truss access of the peach one. If I were buying again I’d probably go for the peach one but I wouldn’t swap my current Flea for one unless it was a particularly good instrument.
  18. I’m gigging just round the corner tomorrow! Very tempting!
  19. Sorry duplicate post
  20. What’s this 4 cable method of which you speak? Just bear in mind the volume pot only crackles if you adjust it while there’s signal going through it. I can live with it but it does seem to be a design flaw.
  21. The dreaded gas strikes!! Need and want are distinctly different. Maybe you want it but don't need it - if you can afford it then buy it but be prepared for the that feel good feeling to wear off pretty quickly!! I've looked at the B6 and B2 four too. Ive got a B1 four x and a B3n and just can't justify it. Think of the strings you could buy with the money!! 🤣
  22. It’s a GivEnergy 5.1 KWH battery (I think). Our consumption is quite low so it wasn’t seen to be worth (in payback terms) going for anything bigger. Apart from a glitch at the start to do with an inverter firmware update, it’s all been working well.
  23. I’ve got solar with a battery. I did a forced export during last night’s savings session. First time I’ve done a forced export. From what I’ve seen from others, I’m struggling to see how it’ll benefit me monetarily but we’ll see soon and I’ll report back. I suppose it’s for the ‘greater good’!!
  24. I remember Maggie was also on Tommorow’s World. The first band I played in appeared on ‘Sky Star Search’ which was presented by Cheggers who was really nice and did his best to settle our nerves. Barbara Windsor was one of the judges and I feel honoured to have met such a legend. We got pipped into second place by a sax playing comedian in a wheelchair!!
