1. Annoyingly I picked my BT up today and I don't have a Speakon to Jack lead so I wont get to play it till tomorrow.
 2.
Wayne, check out http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=142234&hl=, I'm sure he'll do one in checkerboard for you
May have to give him a shout, cheers buddy.
 3.
Hi, Wayne Some really great bits of kit here. I've hankered after a Hudson for some time - this looks fabulous. Nice to see the Jaguar too. I assume its the Squier VM like mine? I had to sort the neck pocket out (it had been chiselled away at the body end!!??), but once I had and put some D'Addario Chromes on, it now sounds FANTASTIC. As you say, it's like a PJ on heat and with tremendous versatility and warmth. I am printing out your thread to try and convince my wife that this is the absolute minimum number of basses that any self-respecting musician should have Andy
I have cut down a bit although I just added this.
 4. Doesn't look like I can make it in now but I will in this week at some point
 5. For me I enjoy amps as much as basses, there is something really fun about getting something extremely powerful and shaking the neighbourhood, especially ones with cool buttons like 'global attack' that's a cool button.
 6.
Good man. Did you take the new amp and frighten them all?
Haha, funnily enough I got home from work and couldn't be arsed so I took an old 30Watt Crate combo and miked it up
 7. Just had a practice, wasn't tragic, might pull this off.
 8.
Hey guys, This will be an interesting thread. I currently might have some money just now (flat repair or new bass...) I have about 2k max to spend. I want something like my Lakland DJ4 since i love the neck profile of it. I will admit that i'm a sucker for a 70s jazz in Natural with maple neck and block inlays but thats not a major requirement. I prefer J style pickups and would like to be able to bypass a preamp (im not sure how the zvex pedals react with actives?) I've messaged Jon Shuker about a stock bass he appears to have just now, but i'm not sure if that will still be available etc. So... fun part. Anyone got any suggestions for me? Go nuts. Dave
If I was in your position I'd get a natural Sadowsky with maple neck.
 9.
Did you try taking too much off, or too little?
Too much took me 3 weeks.
 10.
Yep, don't try taking the whole finish off. Just make sure there are no glossy patches left (no reflections when you hold it to the light).
Found that out the hard way on my first re-fin.
 11.
That looks like a serious bit of kit Wayne. No lightweight wimpy gear for you
Will be tomorrow when I pick up a Bass Terror.
 12. My rig is the lightest of all, I just need to run a lead from my house to the venue, they'll hear it.
 13.
Done
Cheers buddy have left him a message.
 14.
My 500watt rig weighs less than my Ashdown MAG combo.
Is that working now?
 15. I have searched everywhere and unless I've been smoking crack I'm sure someone on here got an orange case made for his/her head. Who was it?
 16.
Wdude, if you want a guy to look at it..I have someone in Maidstone. Very good and reasonable, but will not like the weight so you should probably have to run that by him and move it yourself...
PM me the details please.
 17. I had this problem so I sold everything and I'm in the process of putting together a heavy and a light rig.
 18.
So, you got one after all...I thought the opportunity had gone and you left it a tad too late..??
Nah, it got sorted in the end
 19.
Ah! the old "I am not a guitar player and know next to nothing about these things" ruse. At least it wasn't claimed to have been found in an uncle's loft. Of course its a fake.
Weird that he bought a set of 12 string guitar strings.
 20.
LOL, for that price I'll buy two! :-D Expensive, ugly, terrible sounding, what else can man want?
Crabs
