I don't understand why only a few frets have them on the BS version, surely it a 'whole board' thing.

If you are worried then don't buy it, you'll never have confidence in the bass and therefore won't enjoy it, it's a beaut though.

I think it's better to get a good head than cab just due to the amount of gigs that are 'cabs supplied just bring heads'

4 months on and it is my 'go to' bass, find it really easy to play doesn't match the tone of the MusicMan (there is £1K gap in price) but for at home it's amazing.
