1.
Just managed Bright lights bigger city by Cee Lo Green (A BC video inspired that) And Billie jean until the hands locked up. Three songs in three days must be a record for me
If you did BLBC and Billie Jean then you did one song
 2. Screw it I'm gonna post it Just a thought doesn't MF usually play a Jazz these days?
 3. Am I right in saying a CV usually has a RW but this has maple?
 4.
Yep. same bridge, pup, neck size, vintage frets, etc. I know this is a Squier but i cant see what the fuss is about its price. Its not for everyone, and yes, its basswood but if that was such a bad thing why are there so many happy CV owners out there? It should of course have B. Foxton on the headstock ;-)
I'd say Matt Freeman is the better bass player.
 5. My Encore 'first bass'. I'd be standing outside holding it telling the insurance man how it was the only one I could grab as the flames had already engulfed the '51 P and the '62 Jazz.
 6.
Billy does most of those bends up high. Over a whole board they change the feel of the whole instrument and I'm not sure they're really necessary on the whole board of a bass like they are on a guitar, for instance. They're also costly to carve. So it makes sense just to have them up high.
Good point.
 7.
But they are so useful. My brother had an Yngwie Malmsteen Strat, the whole board was scalloped. He loved it. if you have them, why not go for some great bends during your solos? Just a bit of fun.
I'm sure they are a lot of fun but just because the pricey model has them doesn't mean he should be put off of the cheaper version it's not exactly something someone usually looks for in a bass.. I don't understand why only a few frets have them on the BS version, surely it a 'whole board' thing.
 8. If you are worried then don't buy it, you'll never have confidence in the bass and therefore won't enjoy it, it's a beaut though.
 9.
Fantastic. Nice sing along chorus eh. The quiet bit near the end's a peach, won't be easy doing it live but you have to bring it down for the finale. Are going for the full intro or just straight in?
Full intro with banjo.
 10.
The Attitude Special doesn't have scalloped frets.
Indeed, my point was the bass doesn't need them as you'd probably never use them.
 11. Warwicks, it happened pretty much as soon as I bought one :S
 12.
but anyway, sorry for ranting etc! I just think he gets unneccesary bashing for being a Scientologist and because he "isn't a real bass player" when you can't make everyone happy so why try!
I'm not bashing his bass playing because of him being a Scientologist I just can't stand the whole thing, I've read a lot of books on the subject, some of my favourite actors have turned that way and I have lost of respect for them, not their acting, them. Anyway sorry to derail the thread. Also I understand you rant and also just because it's my opinion doesn't mean I'm saying it's right.
 13. I think it's better to get a good head than cab just due to the amount of gigs that are 'cabs supplied just bring heads'
 14. I had a Fat Strat by Vision descent guitar.
 15.
Oh yes.
Another thing to add to the 'reasons to not like Billy Sheehan' list.
 16. I think it's a nice bass for the right price.
 17.
Well, Billy Sheehan. I imagine they help him communicate with his Thetans, or something.
Is he one of 'those'?
 18. I like the look of them and who actually uses the scalloped frets?
 19.
By the awesomest band in the world. You hero.
Decided to play it with my Grunge covers band.
 20. 4 months on and it is my 'go to' bass, find it really easy to play doesn't match the tone of the MusicMan (there is £1K gap in price) but for at home it's amazing.
