I'm going to keep it as is, my first gigging bass was a sunburst Squier P and as much as I don't like the colour it reminds me of that bass and brings back good memories.

I had a wolfgang copy from them and it was bloody awful

I used ribbed strings, for my pleasure.

Use number plate double sided tape that way if you change your mind you haven't drilled your bass.
