Back in the early 60's I had an audition with a 4 beat combo from Liverpool. I was offered the gig, but they were planning on doing some gigs in Germany for a while which I didn't fancy, so I turned them down.
I often wonder what happened to them...
You was in The Ruttles?

I've had 5 strings before I find them fun but not really my style so 4's for me.
I think anything up to 6 is fine but more than that gets a bit ridiculous.
Bit dull, but there you are! Mind you, the BC For Sale forum has had an effect, I don't use any of the above gear any more, in fact don't own the TE stuff at all!!
Ditto.
Hi there.
I am looking to buy a Trace Elliot head so i won't have use for my old one.
It's a Peavey Mark 3 i know they are not the most expensive of heads but i was wondering how much i should sell for?
The pic isn't mine but a photo i found of one mine is in very good condition

I've just got in. Wow what a day!
I'm glad you got it sold and that you've found a market that will pay that much for it. As someone who has his soldering iron out every other day I sometimes forget how hard people find wiring up 2 pots and a jack. I'll not bother with the links now as it's moot but anyone who can google.uk Precision bass wiring kit will be able to figure it out for themselves. Tschüss.
I really do find it difficult to make it work, I should get someone to teach me.
