The weakest link for me was the pickups - they're punchy but they seriously lack bandwidth compared to traditional jazz pups, the high end sounds rubbish. Replace those and you're on to a winner, the acoustic tone on the couple I tried was very warm and resonant. Much more lively than the CV jazzes, though these seem to have better finishing and probably more trad-sounding pickups.
Agreed, I have Wizard 84's in mine.
 3. Watched it then unwatched it then watched it again.
 4.
Wayne i was going to drop some cash on an MIJ Jazz...ive never played an MIM....much difference in fit and finish? Generally from your experience..
I've only ever had one MIM and it's the best bass I've ever played but obviously there are some dogs, I think the CIJ are more consistent. Lets put it this way if I had a choice between my MIM and a CIJ I'd have mine but if I had the choice between a MIM and a CIJ I'd take the CIJ.
 5.
erm..ok.... why would you "hate" any music...?
Because it shot my dog
 6.
As always there isnt a huge difference in basses that span £1000 in difference..
Indeed, as I've said many times before I've bought so many basses from this site from US Fenders to Musicmans and I always go back to my MIM Fender.
 7.
Yep, that's it. Pop in and check out the mutant in the flesh mate!
Will do a mate of mine works in there so I can pay him a visit.
 8.
I had the USA version and the MIJ is just as good IMO...thats where my money would go
I've tried a CIJ 75RI and found it almost the same as my modded VMJ. I think I'm gonna leave it and pick up a surf green CIJ Jazz.
 9.
Well, I walked into Hobgoblin Music in Canterbury today and guess what, there it was, just sitting there, looking every bit as poorly made, ugly, mutant and unplayable as it did in the ebay listing. It has a £400 price tag which proudly proclaims "Hand built in Canterbury" I'm ashamed of my town C
Hobgoblin Music?
 10.
There's plenty of Boogie love mate, just no money
Nail ----> Head.
 11. I buy loads of stuff but I always find it never sounds as good as my Jazz though my SVT but I still buy it, I'm a c***.
 12.
It does seem odd but then ebay does that sometimes - folks will pay nearly as much for an item that isnt new as you can get a new one for by searchingon google - Well bizarre!
I sold a Squier on eBay a few years back for more than it was new, some people are crazy.
