Any excuse to post mine. Again mine is one of the early ones shipped from Rhondo in the US.

Mine has a Gotoh bridge a little higher output PUPs and a snazzy paint job, best P bass I have had.

The reason it's so much is due to the writing on the bridge, that is considered a Status symbol.
