Could someone tell me which Squiers are good to look out for and ones to avoid? Just so i dont go and buy a dud or something =P Thanks.
The CV Jazzes are amazing for the money, how much us he asking?
 2.
The Living End player uses one! I think he's called Scott Owen?
Click on the link in my last post. Spooky.
 3. They are Gaf's but I know he would never get rid of the blue one and if he did you are 2 years behind me in the queue
 4.
We were only talking about put a shilling in the meter at work a few days ago. Although it used to 50p when I was little. I still remember the man from the leccy coming around and counting out all those coins. Kids today are missing out you know.
We also used to put 50P in the TV to keep it going
 5.
I can vouch for this being the real deal and the tripes are definitely NOT painted on. Back in my guitar shop working days the Fender rep bought one of these in to try and tempt us with. I am not a fan personally, but we took one and sold it in a week. It was a limited edition at the time. I beleive they do a guitar (6 string) in the new catalogue with a similar concept (but somewhat more expensive) which I beleive is also limited edition. EDIT - This is the guitar I was thinking off, as such I take back the comment about them being similar! lol - http://www.fender.com/news/index.php?display_article=186
I've been after one of these for years http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:dAlz3OQ...241.jpg&t=1
 6.
Oh, top tune to learn since it has a lot of open strings and steady tempo: Time bomb. Also, in the ska vein: Dandy Livingstone's original 'Rudy', Drop The Ratchet, Stupid Marriage (all can be based around open strings), Racist Friend, Ghost Town...
I already know Time Bomb so it'd be a gooden to try but your right about the tiredness I'm going to leave it till tomorrow.
 7. I'm going to try to play it in my Ska band but a DB in punk is awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVtD4qMy5Hc&ob=av2n
 8.
Yeah the only thing that bothered me when I got mine was that I didn't have the stamina to play it as much as I wanted to, I had to build up to it over the first month or two. I still can't walk past it without playing it. I've got it leaning in a corner of the dining room so whenever I'm waiting for something in the kitchen (kettle to boil, pan of pasta to cook, etc.) I can have a bash.
I wanted to keep it downstairs but the missus was very insistent that it be moved to the bass room. I can now play 'Smooth Criminal' on it, not the trickiest but it's a start.
 9.
Don't you have a tuner on your phone Wayne? That's what I use to tune my DB.
No mate but I did find that the DTR-2000 didn't work but my trusty £3 Qwik Tune did. WINNER There is something a wrong with the 'A' at the bridge but I'll worry about that another time, I'm enjoying playing the damn thing.
 10.
Yes, I did the same and it works perfectly well, although I got a little clip on tuner as well for £7 that is more convenient when you are at home and not plugged in.
Cheers Bilbo. I'm going to spend the evening trying to get 'Sitting on the Dock of the Bay' to a reasonable standard.
 11. Problem seems to have gone now, must have needed bedding in or something, was when playing open as well so not the fingerboard. I need to tune it, if I plug a microphone into my SVT which is plugged into my DTR2000 will that be OK to tune it?
 12.
Failing that, Wayne just email the mods about changing your name to waynejazzdude Or would it be waynejazzcat?
Oi you I'm getting a little buzz from the bridge when I play the A string, what do I do?
 13. Right just picked it up, it's a wonderful sounding bass, need to give it tune and work out where I'm going to keep it :S Here's a quick pic
 14. Oh he from Pink Floyd, I though he was from Queen. I should be banned from these threads.
 15.
Trawls memory banks - wasn't he the guy that did Wide eyed and legless around 1979? Looked a bit different then, but didn't we all!
Indeed mate as this pic proves.
 16.
Andy Fairweather-Lowe? He's class, and very stylish.
I don't doubt, just looks a little odd with that guitar.
 17.
Works better for me with a chrome bridge: But either way, not for me.
That guy does not suit that guitar.
 18.
2. A bass player who doesn`t play for the song, only for themselves - as in "look at me, I`m so good"
Doesn't that include Jaco, Billy Sheehan, Jeff Berlin etc?
 19.
... and as for your knob ... Sorry to lower the tone but its Friday (its 5 o'clock and its Crackerjack!)
No need for a DB for that, wait 5 'o Clock where are you? I'll post pics and details tomorrow and then I'll tell you about the DB
