2. It's weird, I don't understand why someone can only accept one product as good and a whole industry as sh*t? I have an SVT but I have heard just a good of a tone and better. I was at Reading this weekend and saw Mesa Boogie 400+'s, Shuttles, Mark Bass', Fender and many others (No Mashalls though?) and they all sounded great because at a 'pro' gig the sound is determined by FOH and to be honest I used to love the tone from my Peavey MK3 it just didn't have the power. Seriously Dave the crux of the issue is do you really think that an SVT is the only solution for every occasion?
 3. The problem is the first lightweight amp I had was a Superfly it was sh*t so now I'm sceptical.
 4. If I had to have ANY bass I'd have the £250K Ritter sell it and buy a house.
 5.
Just never know with you... could have been taking the bridge off for a respray. In a moment of bizarre synchronicity, I'd just taken my SUB off its hanger for a play and I had a full set of imperial and metric allen keys on the desk in front of me.
That is weird, like really weird. Nah would never re-fin a SUB that is some serious paint to get off.
 6.
Saddles? 1/16" (or 1.5 mm if there's only metric to hand, but there's a bit of play in it). Bolts holding bridge to body? 1/8".
Legend, it's saddles.
 7. 1992 LPB Jazz with Checkered scratch plate, Badass II and SD Quarter Pounders.
 8. Maybe you should just buy an SVT everyone knows that's the only good tone anyway.

 10.
Dave, I think you underestimate Basschat. I can hand on heart say if you posted your band and maybe even some shots of you playing in front of some huge audiences people might take you more seriously, and I have enough confidence in our little forum that things wouldn't spill out of basschat! I'm really curious to know if I might have seen you live or similar! I also hate to add to the debate at this stage but I was late to the party. I have a Lightweight(ish) valve amp, what do I win?!
Didn't you hear, Ste? Trace Elliot are sh*t.

 12.
Wayne = Legend - amazed this didn't get picked up earlier?
It's a true statement sadly enough
 13.
You may have noticed from the above that, in keeping with his wish to help out fellow BCers, Old Git was going to be the go-between on this deal, and had kindly offered to meet up with Wayne in Cardiff a few weeks back to do so. Sadly that didn't happen. However, and with many thanks to Messrs Punkdude and Foxen, this bass is now at its rightful home in North Wales. As I suspect Wayne didn't play it at all, and I doubt it's up Mr Foxen's street, there's a fair chance that, given it was also delivered to me by Dave (Essential Tension) unplayed, this bass might set the record for having been unplayed by the highest number of consecutive BCers (4) whilst in their possession? Many thanks guys, you're help was really appreciated. Paul, hope you're liking it mate. C
I was quite gutted I didn't get to see Si again. I did give it a little twiddle when I got home, sorry to be a combo breaker, hated tough if that helps?
 14.
Fender basses seem to be modded at every given oppurtunity and the bent piece of tin for a bridge is usually the first to go. Why not so on a Musicman Stingray ? In effect its just a slightly bigger bent bit of tin surely yet I've never seen any that have been modded. Any ideas why ?
I could be wrong but aren't a lot of MM's through body?
 15.
Super Valve Technology. S.P.
Mine was better.
 16. Way off point but I was wondering what SVT stands for? I came up with Saggy Vegetarian Thames, I assume this to be true.
 17. You can speak to a human at Interparcel and because they are a massive clients of the courier companies you get an answer pretty damn quick.
 18.
Yeah, but have you tried fitting a Badass to an SVT?
I have failed!!! Oh I went past your house yesterday, Jack. Not very interesting but true.
 19.
I want to have your children
Go ahead, I don't.
