1. I have a compressor I don't use and it's quite limited when it come to settings.
2. My peeve is when someone hacks out a pick up fills it put some paint over the filler that doesn't match and then advertises it as 'custom' This is a custom This isn't
3.
was it old 40/50's style?.... its bugging me now
Are you thinking of Gramophonedzie?
4.
The song I'm thinking of was in the charts recently and the original song didn't have any instruments apart from "vocals".
My bad.
5. Gotta say that it's 25% instrument and 75% player and from what I've heard your 75% is a huge standard where as I rely a lot on the 25%, probably why you don't get the urge to buy new stuff all of the time.
6.
Top tune.
http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=93431&hl=punk
7. At least you didn't have to choriograph your Busted jump on stage. Jump to 3:08
8.
Rather wonderful and quite safe for work. http://vimeo.com/12658207
I work at an avalanche prevention facility, there is blood on your hands.

12. My God that's er different, definitely something for a collector.
13.
What I reckon(ish) too. 14th on my Warwicks is no issue, they balance perfectly, but 16th may well be a step too far. I really don't want to change the shape much though. It's aesthetically very beautiful in my opinion.
I really can't remember now.
14. Bought a guitar amp from Mike, quick dispatch and the amp was basically new in box. Buy with confidence.
15.
That's my only worry. The body is being made from mahogany, 5cm thick I believe. Not sure how heavy but it's probably African and pretty dense, so I'm assuming it will have some weight to it. The neck is maple and quite lightweight, and I'll be getting ultralite tuners. The strap button is over the 16th fret. Apparently the Electras are pretty neck heavy. I hate neck dive so I am going to have to engineer a way to minimise it.
Remember Bernie's trick on how to balance a bass?
16. Personally I'd use wood instead of paper Nah man looks like a corker.
17. Yeah my bad I'm out. At least we got a bit of Father Ted though, eh?
18.
It looks like a more highly spec'd Epiphone Embassy V to me. Here's a better picture...
Would be reasonable to assume as the original image is from thisisgibson.com. I did say I was no good at this.
19. I'm awful at these things but I gonna say G&L.
20. I sometimes play a game with my good lady, I go through the for sale forum show her a pic and ask for a guess on the price, usually she is pretty good, she said £1600 for this. Anyway that has no relevance but seriously how the f*** is this still here?
21.
rbx 170. or 270...need a headstock shot to confirm. demo'ed one of these to a lad on Saturday, and they're a great playing, and sounding bass.
170 I have sent it out with a couple of bands on tour since I've had it as a back-up for their bassists and it's been used in a studio for about 6 months, I got it back last week and now I've finally got round to giving it the re-fin it deserves. It had ADAM scrawled into it, never did find out who that guy was, maybe Josh who I bought it from can shed some light.
22. Sounds like a really interesting instrument, looking forward to pics.
