2. I didn't watch for long for obvious reasons but the bloke on the left looked a little lost like he didn't know what he was doing.
 3. For some reason it was putting bits into the url that weren't there, I had http://%26quot/;http://s198.photobucket.com/albums/aa242/silddx/London%20Bass%20Bash%202010//" But all it needed was http://s198.photobucket.com/albums/aa242/s...s%20Bash%202010
 4.
I also have 2 kids
Is that the time?
 5.
So ... has a South East Bash been organised for this year ? (because I've searched again and still had no luck)
Not yet.
 6.
Ah - Waynepunkdude and Doddy, I apologise i thought the suggestion of "Bass guitar for dummies" was a p*ss take I spend large portions of my time taking the p*ss sometimes I assume everyone else does too Many thanks for all the recomendations - Doddys list in particular is wicked - Im off to redeem some Waterstones vouchers that Ive had lying around since christmas
Nah it's cool someone bought it for me for Xmas once as a piss take but it turned out to be a really informative book even after all the years I have been playing.
 7.
That looks cool.... I strangely like being able to see the gubbins within!.... could work as a solution... but the sweat gets in through the screws too....
Cheers man I decided if I was going to refinish it in that style there was no point in covering it up. Maybe a thin coat of super glue on the screws to stop them rusting?
 8. Maybe a thin line of mastic around the edge of the plate, wait for it to dry then put it back on. Would that act as a gasket? Oh I made my own see through plate with a bit of perspex and a lot of time.
 9.
Is that a waynepunkdude sig. bass behind?
Which bass mate?
 10.
Was lovely to see meet a good number of you guys - big thanks to Ari for the lift we left during the second half of 'the match' and the roads were wondefully quiet! Molan's basses were the highlight for me loved the Cylindar and the custom Sadowsky just lovely - it was a bit hot but overall very enjoyable - nice work and well done to all who organized things. Cheers Mike
Isn't that true, from Tottenham to Faversham in an hour and 10.
 11. Thanks to everyone who put it on Essexbasscat, Netballman, Curris and a thanks to Mr Goodfellow for setting my Jazz up. Was good to put faces to names, TBH it did the exact opposite to what I thought it would, instead of giving my GAS it made me realise how good the stuff I have is.
 12. Hope you get better soon mate. I'll be able to do shuttle runs to the station.

 16.
I'd do what Mog says, contact GK and say you've been offered this deal but really like their gear is there anything they can do for you? A few bands round my way are 'endorsed' by Monster, one even got a Herbalife endorsement. WTF? Seems to be the in thing to put your gear on your myspace even if you're not endorsed as well.
I went to studio that was endorsed by Monster I still have some in the car, great for long drives home.
 17.
There's something intriguing about that bass T
Like how do you play high notes?
 18.
We'll be on Greenwich market all day today, in Stoke Newington tonight and driving back to Wales early tomorrow morning. 20.
I've managed to rearrange things so I'll be there for a few hours from the start. I'll bring the Warwicks. I won't be bringing the POD X3 LIVE but if anyone's thinking of taking the plunge with one of these and want to know the pros and cons, how they work and how to use them in the studio and on stage, find me and I'll be more than happy to talk Looking forward!
Great news.
 21.
If anyone is interested I'd be up for going over compressors vs limiters, what they do, how they work when and why they would normally be used etc etc. I'd prefer to have a few guinea pigs willing to be plugged in to my rig so we can attempt to show what different compression ratios and bits and bobs can do to the sound of different basses and playing styles (its all a bit tricky to do whilst playing all the examples). Maybe if we could have a pick player, a slapper and a fingerstyle person, or one and the same person for all styles if anyone feels like being Captain Limelight If you guys are all clued up on compressors etc then I wont waste anyones time, just a thought after seeing some of the stuff in recent and not so recent threads on compressors and limiters. A white board would really help (assuming there were some dry markers to go with)!
That would be really interesting.
