1. After seeing the title I was worried as to what I was going to see.
2. Good luck guys , remember the wiki is a great resource for anything from equipment to technique.
3.
I realised takijng the speakers out of an 8x10 makes a very hadny repository for socks and suchlike, possibly teatowels, tailor each 8x10 storage cabinet to the particular room it occupies. A new form of living: House of Bass living. Anyone want 8 Celestion 10" drivers, 8ohm each?
I'll give you 20OHM for 3
4. Just in case anyone is worried about the signatures, a little rub of 1200 grit will take them off nicely. Bargain.
5.
first you have to persuade me to come...
I'll pick you up.
6.
Guy in bar "What amp do you use?" You "A GK. I prefer them to other amps I have tried." ...is the more classy response.
My response is usually, "the loudest f***ing amp I could find."
7. Guy in bar "What amp do you use?" You "I use a **** I have an endorsement deal" Or Guy in bar "What amp do you use?" You "I use a GK, I got offered an endorsement deal with **** but I just prefer the GK"

10.
It was stolen and you got it back??? Please tell me you did a wee jig on that guy. (or girl)
Haha unfortunately I haven't found the person who stole it not that I care anymore, see here
11. Did a little show in Canterbury, was the first time I use my P-bass Special that was stolen since I got it back still fits like a glove after all these years. Played to 7 people but meh was fun. Stage set up.

14. If there is loads of money left over can we burn it in an overblown statement of opulence?
15. Give you £6 for it 100% profit!!!!
16.
indeedy, always always ALWAYS have someone standing at the back of the van, when the next person comes out with equipment the other can go up and get some. It's simple and effective and gives you 30 seconds to catch breath when loading/unloading
That's what we do, the only bass I have had stolen was from a workshop when it was being worked on and as most of you know I got that back last week after years of looking.
17. Why did they have to make the Jazz too, now I have to make room for 2 basses.
18.
I'd say don't use the tuner but listen and maybe, sometimes, use the side dots as a rough guide. And don't just be learning new things like, I presume, Lovecats. Play some stuff you already know well and have some muscle memory for. Use those lines to concentrate on improving your intonation.
Again thanks for all of the advice, I am taking it all on board. My fretless has lines but they aren't very clear, is there anything I can mark them with?
19. Cheers for all of the advice, looks like more practice for me, I'm not too worried I think I have progressed well and the skill of hearing notes will be handy when I finally get a DB.
20. I have just nailed Lovecats, it's the first song I have learnt on the fretless but I find myself forever looking at the tuner for my intonation now I know this isn't right but I'm unsure of how to break this habit, should I be looking to know where the notes are on the fretboard or should I be trying to hear the notes?
21. http://www.axesrus.com/axenob.htm
22.
Is that the 'one' that was viciously stolen? Glad its back btw. How is it nowadays?
That's the one indeed, neck is still nice and it sounds awesome as ever but I need to put heavier strings on, these ones are a little weedy.
