1. It#s a lovely bass mate but I have fallen in love with another.
2. Spell checkers still need to be checked. " I brought it upon compilation 2 years ago."
3.
only joshing mate - hope your HW1 sells and you nab this beauty
It is a pretty bass, if this goes I'm going to buy a new laptop but I'd prefer this
4.
Wayne, will you wear an Arsenal shirt if I promise not to bid for this?
Mate if you're in for it you go for it mate I don't know how long my HW1 will take to sell. And I'm never wearing that sh*t again oh and if you buy it I'll have it off you when you decide to sell in 3 weeks
5.
But its the band leaders choice who plays on a record?
If that's their ethos I can see why you left.
6. This is my Fender MIA HW1 Jazz. I'm selling to buy another bass so if that goes I'm pulling this. I swapped this with Dave_Bass5 for my SUB a little while back but it's surplus ATM. The paint is slightly mojo'd as you can see in the pics. I believe this to be the early HW1 that didn't come with a Badass but Dave has retro fitted one. There is some paint mojo on the back too I'll post pics later £400
7. I'm going to put my HW1 up for sale now if I get a buyer this is mine.
8. Same bloke made this http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3423...mp;id=511839164 Wanted £750 for it Mojo's is an interesting but very overpriced shop.
9. Excellent I just went PM crazy, the problem with the one minute thing is you sent a message went to send another realised you couldn't so went off to do something else then forget about the other PM's you need to send.
10.
Oh absolutely..... if done well. But this did look like it had just been drawn on with felt tip.
That's strange mine is of a real high quality, also I have 2 basses with maple and blocks 1 is finished and 1 isn't, I prefer the unfinished but I guess it's horses for courses.
11. Strange rant that man, the guy is getting into bass and sure the info is out there but it's always nice to discuss things to make sure you understand all the little technicalities. That OLP is tempting.
12.
The Jazz was staggeringly heavy compared to the CV, and after having balance and comfort issues with the fret king this was a major drawback to me. It sounded GREAT with those duncan pickups, but I easily prefer the sound of a Precision over a Jazz, so that didn't really help me. Another thing that put me off were the block inlays on the neck. These seem to have been drawn on in felt tip, as well as two lines running the length of the neck on the top and bottom respectively.
You have just described the finest looking neck you can get, no neck finer than maple with black blocks and binding.
13. I'm confused, are there any cheap E-E and do you play these through a bass amp?
14.
i was waiting for that, i told him that a while back
Before we went to the gig I said to my missus 'Nic's band are on early so I wanna leave soon' She said 'Who's Nic?' I said 'The guy we were talking to at Tunbridge Wells' *blank face* ' We were out there for about an hour' *blank face' ' The one who looks like Simon Pegg', "OHHH!!!"
15. "You are bidding on a bass guitar which looks like it could date from the 1950/60's " Why is old always thought to be good? They made sh*t back then too, this is a prime example.
16. I use one of these for practice If you can find one second hand I thoroughly recommend it.
17.
Ooh, I like the looks of that one. Looks retro. Spotted this also: http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/rb-1/68998 Which do you guys think would sound better?
The Laney would be very good, that's what I'd go for if I was buying new.
18.
Cool, thanks for making it clear. This is the amp I'm planning to get with the VMJ. http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/behringer-bt-108/68588 What's a 4-band EQ?
Personally wouldn't touch Behringer, I've never had a reliable product from them. 4 Band EQ would probably be Treble, High Mids, Low Mids, Bass.
19. HEAD CAB COMBO PRE-AMP POWER AMP For illustration purposes . The set up you have suggested won't work as the Amnplug won't power the speaker. From what I can see that speaker is a PA speaker which would sound OK but you'd be better off with a bass guitar cab or combo.
