I'd give him 3 reasons: 1. It's my stuff if you think you're printing anything on it you can pay for it (the gear). 2. It looks sh*t. 3. I'm not in this band any more.

I have an SVT 5 that I put through 2 X 4X10's and a 15 sounds incredible, there's a reason Ampeg is industry standard.
