4.
Wayne, if you do ever buy a natural bass you do realise Hell will freeze over!!!!
Someone better get the devil a heater.
 5.
Ive a Trace and it gets clicky when I use a pick.. it completely harmless and doesnt affect the overall sound. Actually adds some attack if its rocky stuff. Lower the mids a bit if its annoying you.
I sold it about 18 months ago.
 6. I just showed the missus the natural one, the conversation went: "Look at this dear" "it's pretty, you have really started to like natural basses lately" "indeed, but you would kill me if I brought it home" "If we have the money and the space you can have as many basses as you like" This one's a keeper.
 7.
Think I seen an 'accomplished' bassist advertising here today.. Mexican stand-off coming up? All fun and games till someone get a g-string in the eye
I think I may have found a band, going to practice with them on Thursday.
 8. If you can't ship to Steve I'll pick it up.
 9.
Nice one, they're a brilliant band, had their album on in the car today. They don't get up north often enough though.
Really nice too, last time we played with them they blew Sonic Boom 6 off of the stage.
 10.
The Underpants Gnomes?
They have a great business plan.
 11.
What's happened to The Plan, buddy? Saw you guys last year in the Ivy Leaf (I was in Dayfall at the time).
Still together mate, playing at the Ivy on Friday with The Skints just fancy a Ska band too.
 12. Do you have a Trace Elliot by chance?
 13. 5 steps to making money from music 1. Buy an instrument 2. Learn to play 3. Join a band 4. ???? 5. Profit
 14. Yeah I'm looking for a Ska band could do London but would prefer Kent. Own car and gear. My playing style has often been compared to a cat being thrown down the stairs but yeah if you need bass player for a ska band give me a shout.
 15.
I've got a 60s Squier CV precision and I'm so in love with it I'm starting to pine after the 50s one now! I'd have a go at refinishing it if I got one though as I hate the idea of having 2 basses the same colour.
I refinished my Sunburst P bass in that colour, came out well.
 16.
I guess now is as good a time as any to ask a question which will make me seem incredibly stupid What's with the thumb rest type thing below the G string? As for me, I'm currently playing a very cheap beginner instrument... So i'd love something like an Ibanez SR300M or one of the yamaha RBX range
I believe it's for back when it was played with the thumb and you would anchor your fingers on it. Edit: Well I was ages behind

 18.
I miss my Sub4 that I sold on - brilliant bass and just soooooooo playable. I'd love another.
Great basses but would you say they are cheap? For me
 19. "Q: Hey you Tw@t! Got a full refund and bought a beautifull fiesta red relic usa body for virtually the same price. Thanks, just wanted to let you know because you are such a dick, loved all your poorly speellltt eeemails! I wonder if the next ebayer will leave you bad feedback as well! LOL 19-Mar-10 A: Et voila! Here is the little idiot who ignored my terms first time around, the idiot who tried to dictate to me which postal service I should use and then, when I refused his direction, paid via paypal and within 24hrs opened an unreceieved item dispute in ebay. He purports to be a 'solictior' - yeh, right! - amd was going to take me to court; I'm saill waiting on the papers, idiot! Furthermore, idiot, I had no intention of sending you the body after you tried getting wide with me. I have your address, idiot; just remember that!"
 20.
Looks like Wayne knew what he was bidding on before he bid £15 because he emailed to ask.How can that be a joke bid?
I didn't email him, I bid then Jack put an email up that he had received.
 21.
Wayne, I entirely agree with the disappointment/outrage expressed by others above, BUT you're on a hiding to nothing with this one IMHO. You bid on the bass as a joke before anyone even knew what it was, so you'll have a hard time persuading anyone that this was the bass of your dreams, and the vendor has nothing at all to lose ... single-figure feedback, he'll just walk away and set up another eBay User ID. If you want to pursue Eugene as a bit of fun, then fine - go ahead. It's your call, obviously. This thread has already been VERY useful in highlighting just how utterly useless eBay really are. They now don't even pretend to provide a safe, fair market-place. All that matters is maximising their own fees. My personal eBay feedback is >300 @ 100%, but I've virtually stopped using eBay over the last six months. It's a shame. For a few years it really was "a community" and a nice place to do business.
TBH Jack I don't really care about the bass, as you say I didn't even know what it was when I bid but I have just decided to push it to see how far eBay will go to protect buyer, apparently not far at all.
 22.
Hmmm....gone up in price since first post....lol
Not against the rules is it. Personally I think it may be a bargain.
 23.
No matter how many times I've read that statement from eBay I only ever interpret it as you have 'bought a hard case'; can't seem to get your slant/take on it being a hard case to solve! It's blindingly obvious the guy didn't get the price he wanted so is refusing to sell and it 'should' be that eBay enforce some major sanction if he doesn't. I'm selling some bike gear (leathers, tank bags etc.) on eBay and I have to confess that I'm bricking it as I have no reserve but I WILL sell to the highest bidder no matter if it hurts me.
Hmm reading it again I make you right.
