2. New fretless sunburst conversion. Josh gave me an Encore fretless P which sounds really good but looked horid so I spent this afternoon sprucing it up. Before After
 3.
Goes to show, you can never judge someone by what they look like or what they do for a living. Nobody seeing me in my suit doing the day-job would suspect I'm a rock n roll bassplaying behemoth OR an international porn star in the evenings
Ditto.
 4.
i'm liking it, that burst really is nasty, white should look good. Also, i'm glad that you're actually modding that jazz in good taste, i couldn't bear to see you ruin one of those!
What else have I ruined? Explain yourself sir Anyway I got the fretless P done today.
 5.
oh hello. Thats me band. What an awful picture of our guitarist.
Ever seen a good picture of Ollie?
 6.
Can anyone out there reccomend me a good painter in the london surrey area I want a good job done but am not in a position to pay a load of cash out
How many rooms do you need doing?
 7.
Not sure if it's just me but this page took a couple of minutes to display those pictures! I think it'll be an improvement though with that Jazz bass
I just resized the pics so shouldn't take ages to load now. Yeah I love the look of a classic Jazz, I already have a crazy looking Jazz so a sensible one is the way forward.
 8. Being as it's snowing I couldn't start painting so I thought I'd look for a black scratch plate but then realised trying to find a black Encore P bass scratch plate would be a pain in the ass so some vinyl did the trick.
 9.
Thats what I have. It really is an amazing bass and so so easy to play. If my Warwick Corvette turns out to be amazing then I may sell the Fender
I can't afford one so I'm turning my VMJ into a clone
 10. Didn't realise it was Macca, I was flicking through and saw a massive Mesa rig and thought 'awesome' then turned over.
 11.
Pretty funky looking outfit there too lol.
Yeah they are awesome, check them out here.
 12. Just to say I have played this bass if only for a few seconds, seriously 5 strings tuned down after no sleep confused the f*** out of me but it was a lovely bass and well looked after, Josh is great to do business with.
 13.
isn't that like the wrong way round? Mind you, i quite like the chunky feel of a p-bass neck. Pretty funky looking outfit there too lol.
Indeed but Ben (pictured above) prefers the P neck and the Jazz sound.
 14.
Looks nice, Dude, you wouldnt happen to still have the body would you? if you did, and its loaded and stuff, would you want to sell it? (i mean the body from the VM Jazz)
Sorry mate the body now has P bass neck on it, as seen here.
 15. "Business Seller Information Greenlane Recycling & Reuse unit 1 bridge farm yard pe12 0ss spalding, Lincolnshire United Kingdom" What are the chances he found this on his rounds saw Fender on it then looked on ebay at vintage Fenders and decided he was on to a winner?
 16.
Or http://www.insigniaworks.co.uk/fender-jazz...s-x-2-174-p.asp
Cheers buddy, I those and didn't think they looked right.
 17. I have a 4 X 10 and a 1 X 15, the 10"'s take full range the 15" takes low end, the crossover is set at 800hz.
 18.
I have to agree with you. VW is a million times more musical.
+1
 19. I'm going to try to finish it on Thursday when I'm off of work, I haven't had time to do anything lately. I'll get pics up when I do.

 21.
Hello Wayne, I was in Music Ground in Leeds half an hour ago and they had sent your '74 Jazz to the Denmark Street branch yesterday. Shame, I was looking forward to trying it. I had a chat with the big fella about you, said you loved it I have to say, all three guys in there were really nice to me and Mrs silddx, helpful, pleasant, even had a laff with them, they were really cool.
Cheer for having a look Nig. I found them quite friendly too, I was sure it was a '72 but it's been a long week. It does seem odd that they have moved it to London when I was seriously interested but I did mention where I lived and that I would be in touch after Xmas if I still wanted another look. It's a bit academic now as I have decided to try a lot of Jazzes before committing.
