1. I will be going up at some point in the next few weeks.
 2. I think my amp looks awesome but then I designed it (didn't take much)
 3.
He's the man.
Who is he?
 4.
Again, agreed. With Mexes you have to shop around a lot if you want to find one that compares well to the CVs, and even the Standard Squiers are good for the money. But I'd still take a good Mex over the majority of Squiers.
I have a really good MIM and I have just bought a VMJ so I'm hoping to do a bit of a comparison review.
 5.
Stud extractor. You'll have to drill a very small and precise hole in the bit of the screw that's buried in the wood. The stud extractor will screw into that using a reversed self-tapping thread. As it tightens in the broken screw, it should start to turn and the screw will come away from the wood leaving no damage. In theory. From experience (albeit with engines) the key to the whole thing is getting the hole in the screw drilled properly and deep enough. Good luck!
I have some of those at home if you want me to send?
 6.
I've been doing some upgrades to my fretless jazz before the body goes in to get a piezo fitted. Been fine with all of it and it's gone trouble free, until i got to the behemoth of a job that is fitting a new neckplate I drilled what i thought were adequate pilot holes to accomodate the new, wider screws. However on tightening up one of them snapped in the neck pocket, worse still none of the screw is protruding so i can't get any leverage on it The screws in question were quite soft (they came with the neckplate) and i considered scrapping them because of this, but just carried on regardless as i wanted to get the bass assembled today. Looks like i'm paying for my impatience! Is there any way to remove this without resorting to drilling it out or removing a chunk out of the heel? Ta!
Screw reversal kit.
 7.
Everybody say thank you.
Haha, no need.
 8. Got it back this morning, I think it's been a good year. Walking directions 2,293 mi – about 16 days 14 hours
 9.
B2s go for pretty silly money these days, you'll be hard pushed to find one for £200 on Ebay. Hohner Jacks, for some reason, seem to be cheaper - they're essentially the same bass with a body. The B2 is a pretty accurate copy of the original Steinberger. You do realise Geddy Lee played one of them, don't you Wayne? Jon.
He also plays a Jazz but I play it better
 10.
For that price, go for Hohner jack . Or you may get a Washburn Status off ebay for around £250.00 max. I forgot, the Washburn may not be 'punk' : enough
I'm not too fussed how it looks as it'll live in my car and only be used when bored. I'll look into the Washburn, cheers.
 11. Right I was going to buy a T40 as my next bass but as my job will soon involve hotel stays I want a bass I can keep in the car. I've decided I'm gonna get a Bass Buddy to go with it but I haven't got a clue what I'm looking at when it comes to headless basses, what should I be looking for?, I'm think £200 tops.
 12. I'm going to get one of these one day but I have 3 Jazzes at the moment. Good luck buddy.
 13.
I know this isn't really a good discussion but, interesting how the neck broke but not the neck joint. For some (I'm sure very poor) reason we looked at bass smashing on Youtube and its amazing how much grief the neck joint takes before it gives, if ever. On one the body pieces separated first.
He hit side on so all of the mass around the joint would have protected it making the centre of the neck the weak point. I would love to repair that and play it.
 14.
haha, worryingly enough, you probably would too!
No probably about it
 15.
haha yeah i agree, i don't think modding it like CS did will make it any more valuable, as it's not stock any more. The only one that will be worth more because it's been modded like Chris Squire's is Chris Squire's.
I think a humbucker, a Badass and pink paintjob would be awesome, I wish I had the cash.
 16.
No - it would be f*cking unforgiveable vandalism. How is this different to getting a 1960s Precision & hacking it into a teardrop shape because that's what Geddy Lee did? Except 60s Ps are a damn sight easier to find - in any condition - than these. J.
So pink or yellow?
 17.
Drop WaynePunkDude an email, he paints all his pickguards as checkerboards, ask him what he's used and this methods for finishing.
I either mask and paint with nitro paint then lacquer over many times or get a decal made which is much easier and cheaper, if you got it made to go over the whole guard it won't notice that it's a decal.
 18.
I can't remember the name of the shop...
Was there a guy in the corner sitting down fixing stuff and was there 3 rooms?
 19.
Bump, I have changed this from a "Feeler" to a "For Sale" due to increased interest. Please make sensible offers via PM.
I think it'd be better to put a price as inviting offers would make this an auction which is against the T's & C's.
