1. Why do so many people want to play this over-rated piece of sh*t.
 2.
Aye. Just hope it works after all that
I'll give it a go in a bit, I have it at home at the moment, I'm loving it, such a brute.
 3. Just a couple of riffs played really sloppily but I'll work out how to use this interface better and get you something better sounding and played by the end of the week.
 4.
I know basic theory. major/minor triads, diminished triad, dominant 7th etc and I know a few difrent type of scales too but I still suck at improv.
You know a lot more than I do, I don't let lack of theory get me down, if it sounds good I'll play it.
 5.
I dont suppose anyone has a Fender Road Worn P bass they could bring along? Maple neck
I can bring a sander I got the Ampeg back today, sounds amazing
 6.
Mike Swain at Panic Music http://www.panicmusic.co.uk/ The UKs only official Ampeg repair centre, they do virtually all types of amps, PAs, mixers etc. Very busy so worth booking in advance
Got my SVT back from them today oh my God I can't believe how good my amp sounds again they replaced A LOT of parts and got her back to her original glory and run it at full power for 3 hours to test it before they sent it back very well packed. I can't say about reliability yet but so far so good. Cheers Muppet.
 7.
Speaker cables arent shielded, instrument ones are.
So just a standard jack cable?
 8.
How about: Bass > AB2 (A) Amp Input (B ) DHA > Effects Loop Return? http://www.ampeg.com/pdf/SVT-5PRO.pdf Page 5. You will need a shielded cable.
Shielded as in a speaker jack?
 9. Might be worth getting a Y cable and using the DHA as a boost/cut? So Bass to AB2 (a) Amp input (B ) DHA -> amp input
 10.
Really? What a shame! I was hoping to, at least, do the audition but I sent them two messages since they placed the ad and I didn't get any reply at all.
I went through Myspace, TBH I don't know why it's not my type of music and I don't have the time to tour ATM.
 11. I get my Ampeg back and I want a switchable pre-amp my idea is to go Bass -> Boss AB2 (A) DHA EQ-DI -> Pre-amp in ( B ) Amp input Therefore having two seperate pre-amps, will this work? orcan I cause damage?
 12.
Nice, i do remember their PBass copy having a remarkably close logo. Bit naughty really. Thanks for the info.
13.
I used to own a SUB and i did own a jazz too for a bit (though not that particular one), as wayne said, sound wise, the SUB has much more balls and just sounds a lot growlier, whereas the jazz sounds a bit more polite... it's only really the way you can describe it... The musicman has the preamp too, so there's a lot more scope for different sounds etc. And obviously the jazz neck is a lot thinner.
1000 times better than I could have put it. I'll do you some A/B stuff by the end of the week.
 14.
If you got time to, yes please.
No problem, I don't know what happened to half of my post up there I did also say if you wanted to come try them you could depending on where you are.
 15. Done it a few times with my Encore only have it given back, great bass that one......
 16.
Wayne... Checkout Matamp if you are looking for serious all valve tone, they really are the mutts nuts and custom made for £1299 200W into 4 or 8 ohm.
Just to clarify it's out of my price range and my SVT is plenty beefy enough for me but from what the guy was saying this thing will be a monster. I have heard a guitar Matamp one of the custom jobs with the buyers name on, his name was Matt so it didn't have the same effect.
 17. I've just been on the phone to a man about a new mass produced all valve amp coming out next year. He said it will be around 600W @ 2 OHMS and it'll be about £2.5K but there will be cheaper less powerful version to follow. I know it's not much info but it sounds awesome.
 18.
Can you elaborate please Wayne Ive got some serious Stingray type gass
d try them. I'm terrible at describing these type of things, I'd say the ray has more balls. If you want I can do some A/B sound samples for you?
 19.
yes
I still don't know which I prefer, they are both great but in different ways.
 20.
Rusty trombone?
Still working on that, one day maybe. < most appropriate smily ever.
 21. on a good night my missus cleans my rusty pole piece.
 22.
wrong bass though
Better?
