2. *through gritted teeth* the sunburst works well, so now you can give me the blue one
 3.
Wirelessly connects your PC to your Bluetooth-enabled devices - mobile, PDA etc. Works perfectly in Windows XP but not in my new Vista machine. Still in the original box with driver CD and instructions. PM if interested.
Yes please mine has exploded
 4. I'm looking forward to seeing how this ends up, this was my trusty back-up bass for a few years and I loved it.
 5.
NOOO. Don't be silly Wayne. Stick them in the for sale section and put the money in the VMJ fund.
The VMJ fund has been decimated by an unexpected £150 direct debit from the ATL and a £160 train ticket. BTW if I need you to dep for me on Friday I'll send you tracks and tabs, if not can I borrow your amp? as I will be coming there straight from Cornwall.
 6. Is that the Celinder from the Basschat logo?
 7.
Yea I agree. However this neck is from a Vintage Reissue bass which retail at around £1300 and also includes a matching reverse Hip Shot tuner. Thanks again. Kev
Oh right then definitely worth the cash, it's a stunning looking bass.
 8.
Thanks very much Wayne, It is a lovely bass but i just cant afford to keep her as I'm moving into a flat with my girlfriend and i need to pay for a deposit and furniture. Can i ask what people think about the price? Is it overpriced or good value? Thanks Kevin
Hard to say a good MIM will go for £200-250 a good MIA will go for £450-600 so I think it's at a good price point but obviously things are only worth what people will pay. If I was after a Jazz and had the money I'd buy it.
 9. Play the Faversham Hop Fest, first gig I've ever walked to. Used the old MAG 300 as my SVT is still with Panic Music and I don't trust the Superfly as far as I can throw it. Was a good gig played half hardcore punk and the other half ska, I don't know if the crowd enjoyed it but I did.
 10.
If you like the way it looks put it on. Play it and if you can play it okay leave it on. Personally I think it looks better with, and it might stop folk using the bass as a chess board
Haha I think I'm going to go that route. I wish I could put the rear one on but I'm not sacrificing sound for aesthetics.
 11.
I just put a new set of DR red devil strings on my bass but the D string seems dead. It gives off a weird vibrating noise that's not in tune when I pluck it. Is there something wrong with the string and if so, can I fix it? Or did I set it up wrong?
Might be a broken core, is the string touching any frets or out of the saddle?
 12.
Soundchecking is cool:
I love that pic.
 13.
Err yup, you better bring it
No probs mate, we are bringing a van anyway
 14.
Help! All my basslines are starting to sound too similar! How can I break out of the arpeggiated fill style and become more creative?
I know what you mean, I do the same fill everytime
 15.
I'd vote for off, purely coz I hate pup covers, I always think it makes the bass look cluncky and they *must* restrict your plucking hand (I've never played with them on, so this is pure speculation) Anyway, that jazz looks sexy as hell without...
She is a sexy bass that will NEVER be sold.
 16.
Fairly tempted to get htis and the fretted neck going (hence asking thickness). Would anyone be after the neck?
Erm would the neck fit this? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=59766
 17. I'll leave my SVT 5 at home unless Alex really wants to test it and Rob really wants to try it.
 18.
can you play efficiently Wayne? i think they look lovely on but i havent got used to fingerstyle then switching to slap with it on..
I only play with a pick live except for my Ska band but I use my Musicman for that, I think the bridge cover would help to rest my hand on without mutingthe strings, the problem is that this Jazz is "MY" bass and will always be so I don't want to screw it up so it's probably best I wait until I get my VMJ to try it on first. I'm glad I started this thread it has made me think.
 19.
Being obsessed with seemingly only Flea and frighteningly singled minded, somehow that makes you better than a good percentage of bassists who play 5 strings as part of their successful career? Honestly, going from your About Me section on your profile I thought you'd be at least a bit open minded enough to appreciate why 5 string players play 5's in the first place. You either leave this kind of attitude behind now or let it hinder your learning and playing on the whole.
+1
 20. I looked at the title and thought "that would be an awesome nickname"
 21. I might wait until I buy a VMJ and put both on.
 22.
It could look good with both pup and bridge covers.....
The bridge cover doesn't fit bcause of the Bad Ass, but I agree
