This one http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=53284 A Mesa 400+ would be too much a MAN's amp for me, to paraphrase Beedster this morning (PS, I have a dicky back, following a slipped disc a few years ago, so a big 'ol valve amp is a no-no)
Haha fair dues, I have just taken delivery of my SVT and I can foresee back problems for myself.
2.
Sold pending the usual. That was fast! Now I need someone to buy my Jeff Berlin combo and fretless and I am back even on my Mesa buy
What Mesa you getting buddy? Please say it's a 400+
3.
Great upgrade. Bet you wont regret that /Jealousy
Haha, I just can't wait to get it home now, it's like the clock is going backwards today.
4.
Whats the body on top of the head? Wow! Is your B2R redundant now?
It's sold mate I had to sell my compressor too so I'd have room for the head
5. My head has just turned up, very excited. Heres a crappy mobile phone pic.
6.
Whoa ! You can't do that to me ! Especially when you live a mile away ! Do you accept Subway vouchers ?!
If you want mate I'll give you £120 for your Jazz and then you have no worries
7. I couldn't see Clarky with a Precision........
8. My missus was saying."you don't need another P" and she was right. Yes, I'm getting the 2 band put back in. I'm posting from my mobile, how sad am I?
9.
I've had a few SX's (Come on Punkie, post the Bart Bass) and (apart from the Bart Bass) just put Gotoh 202 bridges on them but this one's had the works. To quote BB's original sale thread: Pics later
The Bart bass. Gotoh 203 bridge Fender tuners No name aftermarket PUPs (currently being fitted with active pre-amp) It's amazing it really is after several ideas of getting it re-finished icluding having it booked in at pro shop I have given up and decided to put a PUP cover on and and bridge cover (if anyone wants to sell one?) for the vintage look, I think it could be the best money I've ever spent on a bass. I nearly bought the Fecker from you too, I'm getting a natural ATK BTW.
10. The Gordon Smith LP has a cult following in the Punk scene, most Punk bands I play with use them.
11. I won the bid on this but the reserve wasn't met, the guy has offered it for £200, if anyone fancies it let me know and I'll send the details to you. Pick up only from Worthing.
12.
something like an ATK????
Indeed but not in natural, I could always refinish it....... I'lll think some more.
13. After having a big think I have decided to up my budget to £300 and get something different as I already have a load of P's. If anyone want's this PM me and I'll send you the guys details, it's pick up only from Worthing.
14. I won this but didn't meet the reserve, the guys says I can have it for £200. Worth it?
15. Just wondering if you want to sell, I might be intrested.
16.
Yeah, thought it sounded really good! Much better than the majority of places that we play! Any idea what the deal is with this place? Felt like a scam as the other band had been told the exact same thing as us. Its on a sh*tty industrial estate, its not promoted so no one buys tickets, and they didn't even encourage us to bring people. Just can't see what the point of the whole thing is??
Agreed it's a nice venue in a really strange place, I think Clarky has played there wonder if he got given the same story,
17.
Played the Bridge House 2 in Canning Town. We were meant to be on at 8.30 to support a Ska band. There was no Ska band, we were headlining, and on at 9.30. Played to the other other band and 3 people we bought with us! Oh the joys of being an originals act. We sounded decent though, even though I made the schoolboy error of turning the volume down on my bass and therefore missing the intro of a song.
Had the same experience at the same venue, did you have to play through that crappy Peavey combo?
18. Not suprised, you're a great player with a killer tone. Congrates buddy.
19. If you fancy tuning it down to an A then just whacking the strings randomly, Korn is the way forward.
20.
I really like that tune, think its a great summer song.
Most Sunday mornings I crack it on in my bass room and play along with my P-bass. Great stuff.
21. Give one of these a go mate, I've been using a pick for 13 years and I found these about 2 years ago and it made life so much easier. It's flexable in the middle so if you dig in to much it won't get stuck or pop the string plus it has a really nice grip so it doesn't slip.
22. Ottis Redding - Sitting on the Dock of the Bay. Not sure if that counts.
23.
That grip you've got going there is pretty punk.
It's my super awesome putting grip, watch Tiger Woods steal it. Apparently taking a run up for a drive is frowned upon :S
24. My God that is an abomination. Strip it down paint it bright orange/green then you have a bass a 'new' colour.
25.
My mates go on and on about how great golf is, speaking from a younger mans point of view, sell me the benefits of golf.
I went for the first time today for a laugh, it was quite fun but I wasn't taking it seriously. The best bit is when you tee off and hit the ball really hard I hit the ball about 150 yards and it landed right in front of the green, total fluke but it felt pretty good.
