1. If you decide to split I maybe up for one of those cabs.
 2. I have a Gibson Les Paul but I don't think it's been out of it's case in about 6 months.
 3. Here
 4.
Why?
I dislike the sound and 90% of guitarists who play them are pretentious douche bags IMO.
 5.
Traitor. If you must play some guitar, at least have the decency to lie about it.
And buy a decent guitar I HATE TELE'S.
 6. This guy may well be interested http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=37112
 7.
A Warwick or a tricked-out Fodera, let me think about that. . . .
Fender P and a car it is.
 8. More than welcome to my Ashdown but I'm in Kent
 9.
First bass was : a Jedson short scale bass From : Contact in Leeds (think of it as a 1973 version of Crack Converters!) It cost : £19.50 Which today is : Dunno what £19.50 is in 'todays money' but the bass probably wasn't even worth £19.50 back in 1973!
Use the converter that was in the very first post. 10.
nice of warwick to supply the neck... *ducks*
Genius
 11. I think you have made a mistake in the discription. It is very very pretty if it was me I wouldn't sell it.
 12. I've read one review of it that made me laugh. "What is it about? People in jazz club audiences that makes them want to compete with each other? "Look, man - I'm appreciating this on a WAY deeper level than you. JUST LOOK AT ME NODDING!"
 13. My Encore I bought from Cash Converters in 1995 ( I think) for £43 now £58.91. I still have it if anyone wants it for £60
 14.
Thats not too bad for £199, at least with a head and cab combo I can split the weight up a bit What cab will you be running it through? The 4x10? I wonder what it would sound like with a 1x12 or 2x10? Would it be loud enough to gig with or are you really looking at using a 4 speaker cab?
I'm going to use it with a 1 X 15" but I'm using it as a practice rig and for when I'm playing smaller gigs when we take the car and not the van when I take my racked Ampeg. I think that with a 2 X 10" would be lovely.
 15. There are lightweight amps but they are quite pricey. I have just bought this head and I think it is the only low priced lightweight head there is.
 16. If you are really concerned by weight don't buy an Ashdown I use an Ashdown 4 X 10 and it is the heaviest cab I've ever owned.
 17.
Hey guys, recently I've been listening to alot of synthy stuff and wanted to get a nice bass tone to emulate that sort of thing. Sort of stuff might be MGMT, Justice, Kraftwerk and stuff like that. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Sort of tone I'm going for: This. Any thoughts on getting a similar tone would be much appreciated.
A bass player from Faversham, you in a band mate?
 18.
MB1. Doubt the AA or the RAC offer that Service!
Just ring them and say you cab won't start
 19.
Even you'd like it I think, it's nothing like the SS 7-band head you had
I've played through a V Type and it was a world apart from my old Trace.
 20.
filter for the fan
Ah good call, it looks a lot like my head and for some reason I imagine it sounding the same :S
 21.
I'll have a look now, thanks for the plug! I was thinking of a 2x10 Ashdown combo, possibly this one: http://www.turnkey.co.uk/product.php?itemid=22442 Thanks for the replys
You could do a lot worse than the V Type. If you want an Ashdown how about this? you could sell the 15 on if you didn't need it.
 22.
for the last few months i've been without a propper bass rig. and i've now finally got one together: powerfull, punchy, deep, lightweight and CHEAP! i can carry the whole setup in 1 go, and rig cost under £600 ^_^
They look cool but what is that little black pad for to the right of the EQ?
 23. I think the rule is 300W minimum for gigging, secondhand will get you more bang for your buck, I think for that money you could get a 2 X 10 Ashdown combo and have the option of putting an extention cab later. I'm sure other can help you more than I have.
