1. Quick Tune tuners they cost a fiver and last a lifetime.
2.
I have an old Peavey 1x15 cab (black widow speaker) that I've had a similar amount of time. It sounds great, and has more top end than most people expect. It sounds better than my newish Ashdown 2x10.
I used to have one of those was a great cab until it got a split in the speaker
3. Bought a compressor Neil well packaged quick delivery and good communication, what more do you want?
4.
I think you'll find the line out won't have sufficient level to drive headphones, unless you have a headphone amp? But yes, you can run with no speaker load attached.
Great stuff, quite looking forward to getting it now, I should have a compressor turning up today and the refinish on my P-bass is being done in 2 weeks, great times for WPD bad times for Mrs WPD.
5. I'm tempted, will let you know today.
6. When I get it (should be Monday) can I use it as a headphone amp? i.e plug some headphones into the line out but not have a speaker attached?
7. Bass playing. We all spend loads of money trying to slightly alter the tone of our sound then spend stupid money on posh transistors then go and use it at gigs just to be asked "were you the guitarist?"
8. Took me a minute to see which way it was going but I wired it the way it was when the speaker moved towards the front of the cab with the 9V. Just got to wait for the Little giant to turn up now. Cheers guys
9.
Yes, but one of the conductors should have a ridge or a stripe to denote that it's positive. You could always trace the positive and negative from the speaker itself. You will find the 1+ and 1- moulded into the Neutrik socket. 2+ and 2- are not connected.
I'm looking in from where the handle is and there is a red sticker next to one of the conductors is that positive?
10.
How many speakers? Just the one? If so then connect the red or + terminal on the speaker chassis to 1+ on the Speakon and the other speaker terminal to 1- on the Speakon.
Both of the wires coming from the speaker are white :S
11. Hi guys I'm finally getting around to wiring up the cab I bought from Stevie (who is an absolute gent) just wondering what connects to where, I have attached pics of the wires (need striping down before I do anything else) and connector I have. Cheers
12. I don't like my basses getting scratched or chipped, at the end of the day I have worked hard for them so why would I deliberately damage them?
13. I used my thumb for the whole of the attached song I find it gives a real Dub sound.
14. I'm not too fussed as it's going to be a practice/back up it has to be better than the Badger I'm using ATM.
15. I got GAS because of Xmas money but that has all gone now that I've bought a new compressor and head.
16. It's now in Welsh Wales The list stands as Beerdragon has it now for a few weeks. Starvolt M4L666 Paul S

18.
Right, Bremen is in the north of Germany. There is a Ryan Air direct connection from London. The price is 2500,- EUR (about 2300 GBP). The Euro to £ exchange is not so bad these days (for Germans )
Right I'm out I have £32.50 plus the worth of my missus thats £40.
19. My SX P has a Jazz sized neck on it so it's the best of both worlds.
