Cheers guys, I have a Crate BT350 head. The tuner has and in/out and a mute but i dont really want to put it in the signal path if i can help it. It works fine if there's volume from the amp as the tuner is connected via the send in the effects loop. The amp does have an xlr and 1/4" line out with a volume control, would it be OK to try the tuner in that output ?? I've not wanted to try it up to now because if i do some damage i can't afford a replacement. Thanks again.
My tuner goes into my effects send and I don't return it works fine and it's out of the signal chain.
who knows, probably fake, but a wee heads up if anyone has a lot of money kicking around and wants a look http://www.gumtree.com/london/35/32127635.html Luke
"It has been sitting in a closet for 40 or so years; since the owner was in college." Am I reading that wrong or has the owner been at college for 40 years and instead of this guy sending out a search party he is selling the guy's bass?
What amp do you have? I have my rack tuner coming out of the tuner output on my GK700RB II and mute the signal with the tuner mute button. If you didn't have this then there should be an in and an out on the tuner(?) I've never had a good look at one before. If you plug your bass into the tuner input and then run a patch lead from the output to the amp then pressing the mute button on the tuner should mute anything from coming out of your backline and the PA and enable you to tune up in silence
But if you're are plugging your bass into the tuner isn't going to be in the signal chain? I have the same problem I usually use the active button on my to make it really quiet tuning but this won't work if you use an active or you don't have the button.
Excellent work everyone! Does anyone know if E-bay would take this any further ? Would the Police get involved ? Surely there's enough information available to bring a case against the guy ?
eBay don't give a f*ck, hopfully the guy has learned his lesson or if not I'm sure someone here will find it and take him down again.
Excellent work waynepunkdude. Is Allison a member here now? Point her in this direction. This chap has really annoyed me now as he blatently tried to rip somebody off. What a tosser. Woyuld love him to get some payback. I am checcking Ebay every now and again to see if he has offered it to the next bidder in the line. Nothing so far. Also keeping an eye out to see if he re-lists it. We could of course have some fun with the guy and say we saw the auction ended early and does he have any other Musicman basses for sale and see what he says back :)
Yep she has been pointed in this direction. Haha if it gets relisted I might start 2 new accounts and bid it right up so he gets huge fees.

I had 2 messages from the original seller. "Hi there yes i sold this bass to this guy but it is not a real musicman bass it is a cheap copy. If you want to speak send me your number and i will talk to you. Kind regards Allison" "I am disgusted that this guy has sold this bass for that amount of money. Do you know the person who has bought the bass? Or have you contacted them? When I sold him the bass if it had have been a real MM bass I would not have sold it for £51. It is nothing like a real MM as it doesn't have a MM pickup on, it is not active and the body is also made of plywood. He has stated that it is a real MM which is a complete lie. He has used official MM descriptions to list this bass. I feel very sorry for the person who bought the as he or she has been riped off. Hopefully they have not paid for the bass as yet. Please would you contact me back. Regards Allison"
Has anyone contacted the other bidders in case he does offer it to them???
Their details won't become available until he gives them the offer so I'll keep and eye on it but I think he has got the point that we won't let him scam anyone. I really hope he answers my message.
When I was strolling through the music stores, I played MANY, and i don't mean 10, basses. I had a simmilair budget in my pocket. At first i wanted an ESP-LTD, but when I came across the Yamaha RBX375, my choice was instantanious. It was outstanding - great, punchy, low and very versitile sound, the body just screamed metal, in a good way (unlike B.C.Rich'es). Really worth concideration Also it sounds nice playing anything else
I'm sorry if this is a huge generalisation but when I have played Dean's, ESP's, BC Rich's and the like I always get the feeling the sound and the feel is an after thought, looks always come first. -
"Q: Ill look it up and everything just to make sure. If it isn't then I have got majorly ripped off by Sound Control and Music Man. If it isnt what sould I do?" "I would go back to the person you bought it from for £51 and ask why they didn't give you a custom built pre EB Stingray for that price."

Good find, infact great find.

My only thought is, could he give a second chance offer to the person who bidded the second highest?
