1. ONE STEP BEYOND!!!!!! Great song easy bassline.
 2. Yellow FTW I hate sunburst I have 1 sunburst bass and the sandpaper is having a meeting with it tomorrow and I have a sunburst coming next week again I need to get the paint for it.
 3. I think a ban on cat pics should be implemented, punishable by death.
 4.
Regardless of what you should be using, I don’t think you should be using car paint.
I've used it before, the finish looked nice but didn't feel pro (I know it isn't so I can't expect miracles)
 5. I went down to Halfords today to get paint for my Stinkray project I look at the paint and the colour I wanted wasn't there so I went to the paint mixing section, got chatting to the bloke behind the counter and he said I shouldn't use car paint I should use enamel paint, is he right?
 6.
Bollocks, that Squier Precision would've been a boss project
It was a freaking Special as well.
 7. Doesn't Sarah 5 String have a Shine? Maybe she can shed some light.
 8. I think it is worth what a Fender in that condition is worth as a bass, I don't think you should add any value to it because of who has owned it. I would rather have a Fiesta that run than a broken Mondeo that was owned by Sterling Moss
 9. I personally wouldn't change much but another forum I use a lot (majorgeeks.com) has a live chat room at the top for member to "chat" but not about computers (in this case basses) I think it lets people get to know eachother better without taking away the use of the boards. Just an idea.
 10. Bought a 1 X 15 OHM cab off of Stevie (I say bought I paid a TENNER) Packaging probably cost more than the cab, great communication and top bloke all round.
 11.
Sorry, our guitarist sorted this and has had all the contact - so I don't know the name of the promoter. I have texted our guitarist and will let you know as soon as
Cool beans, I sent them a message anyway see if we can get on.
 12.
Would be good to meet up, maybe your band could fill the TBC slot? Its being arranged by ToxikPunks http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endID=377101714
Is it Andy who is putting it on?
 13.
Hi all, We are playing a punk all-dayer at the Old Friends Pub in Greenwich on Saturday 15th November (we are due onstage at 7.40pm) and an evening gig on Wednesday 19th November at the Bullet Bar in Kentish Town (onstage time tbc). Come along if you fancy a rowdy evening! Here is the flyer for the Old Friends gig Cheers Clarky http://www.myspace.com/kismetikmw
I might be able to get to the one in Greenwich.
 14. The neck looks like it's already starting to 'banana'
 15.
Yeah - like a normal screw usually. Give it a little turn - work out how tight it is. Generally, the tighter it is, the more work it's doing and the better off you are loosening it. If it's not doing much work and you're only gonna be a coupla days, just leave it where it is... Truss rods aint usually that big a deal - and you might find that messing about with it will get you a better action. Just use a bit of common sense. If you're having to force it - DON'T! (although a little tug is ok to get it moving ) ffnar ffnar... Otherwise, it's as fair game to adjust as your saddle heights. Putting a mark on it and counting the turns is the way - then you can put it back where you started if you like...
Cheers for that guys I'm going to do it tonight instead now as I ended up going out for Pizza Hut and Bar Billiards, WIN
 16.
There was an MIM version. If you Google Precision Special you just might find some information about them.
They also did a Active delux model IIRC
 17.
You don't want to go relieving truss rods you can get locked up for that ! Take your strings off and look down the neck, if it looks like a banana then as a precaution loosen off the truss rod as the reverse tension when its free won't do the fingerboard any good. If it looks pretty straight leave it , it won't catch no harm.
I'll take the neck off and take a pic straight down it and post it if that's OK? The problem is the bass was so cheap if I have to spend anymore money on it I would in false economy territory
 18.
it depends on how much the truss is under tension. I'd loosen it anyway - but if it's not doing much, then there wouldn't really be much point other than the piece of mind you we're doing the right thing. Why don't you loosen it and count the turns...?
Sounds good, is it lefty loosey?
 19. I'm going to start my Stinkray project tonight (basically taking a Stagg ray and painting it green) now if I take the neck off and leave it off for a few days will I need to relieve the truss rod or just leave it?
 20. Bought a Ray plate of him, turned up today good as gold. Top communication top bloke Cheers buddy
 21. I would love to paint one orange BRIGHT orange
 22.
Spotted this on Gumtree.... could be a bargain if anyone's interested? GK 4x10
It's the cab I am after but haven't got the pennies at the moment.
 23.
You should never sell your first bass!
+1 I had one of these, was the best bass I ever had until it got stolen
