It might have been owned by Mike Rutherford, but I don't think it was used for anything worth mentioning...!
Like everything else Mike Rutherford has done Didn't appear on Crimewatch a few years back saying o load of his guitars were stolen? I remember it distinctly because of my huge dislike for him.
 5.
Still has a tendancy to whine a lot tho`.
Just give the starter motor a tap with a hammer first thing in the morning, soon stops the whining.
 6.
Unless theyve specifically asked for an acoustic bass just bring your normal one and plug straight in to the desk, you should get some monitoring at least! Thats what ive always done Unless youve really punked up your basses and got rid of the tone control!
I have on one of them They have asked me to bring an acoustic :S TBH I didn't question it.
 7. Has anyone got an acoustic bass they could lend me on the 2nd or 18th November? We have been offered a radio interview and an acoustic set and I don't have an acoustic. I'm in Kent. TIA
 8. If I had the money I would have this and rig up a bi amp, I just ran this idea by the missus and she (in lots of expletives) reminded me I have 2 basses on there way to me.
 9.
If it's an SPB1 or similar, yes you can
Now I think about it I took the pick ups out of that bass already so it will a straight drop in. If these are still here on Friday (payday) I will take them.
 10. Sorry if I'm being a tard but can I straight swap the active SD's for passive or will I need more circuitry?
 11. "Dear sir/madam Just to clarify this is not a valve amp it is clearly solid state also it is much more likely from the 80's than the 70's. May I also suggest you may want to lower your starting price in this climate you could but an Ampeg all valve SVT 600W for the same price and get change. Kind regards Wayne"
 12. Bit from leftfield but The Wombats have some great basslines and The Streets. And The Plan have an amazing bassist one to rival Victor Wooten I would say.......
 13.
Why does one pic have a bent-plate metal style Fender bridge and the other pic have a Badass? This looks like a cash-convertors style shop so I can't imagine they have been swapping bits over... pics of two different basses posing as one?
These are obviously 2 different basses now I look at it.
 14.
And Genesis let that f***ing drummer sing.
Letting Genesis anywhere near a stage was the worst mistake.
 15. Could be a bit of a bargain depending on the reserve.
 16. Is this a mistake or a scam?
Wayne, I'm not on Facebook so can't see the details, but two or three of us from my band might come along if you could let me know where and when.
That would be awesome, it is a BOTB's at the Old Brewery Tavern in Canterbury, I've attached a flyer.
 18.
Glad you're still around to tell the tale. I'm sure your words of warning will see an increase in popularity of RCDs on here.
You're right I just ordered 3 for the band.
 19.
With Sperzel tuners you should only have about a quarter to half a turn on the post. Yes, it's quite scary, I keep thinking the string will come off mid-gig. But it never does - change in mindset required... Alex
(this is the bit where I pretend I know what Sperzel tuners are) Oh yeah Sperzel tuners you can't go wrong, + 1
 20. I get a string cut it down put it on the bass then tune it. Am I the only one who doesn't measure or count?
 21. Holy f*cking sh*t. Glad you are OK man, where do I get an RCD from? When I played guitar I went to a rehearsal studio and a Marshall JCM800 gave me a shock and the guy assured me it was fine but we said no and left, I'm glad we did now.
 22.
Fender instruments are built in Corona, California... i.e. nothing to do with Corona beer
"17 time capsules buried in the 1930s, that have been lost and can't currently be found"
