1. Thinking about the 15" so I can use my head to practice at home.
2. I don't think you can go wrong with checkered like the J in my sig.
3. I think I've seen this before. 4. Cheers buddy. This is the one that came with it originally.
5. I left my Fender on a train once I was going out of my mind luckily enough I got it back within the hour.
6. It needs 0.78 A would 800MA be OK?
7.
Have you broken it yet?
Give me time.
8. I have it now but it didn't come with a power supply, would a universal adapter work ok?
9.
Thanks. Its backline really - 8 guitars, drums, keyboards.... but 12 people at 2am too....
Yeah I don't think would have room for that sorry buddy it was worth a try. But if anyone ever needs stuff moved about we have a van that is only used on gig nights.
10.
Being the guy who started "the other thread" about this video of Nigel (and bear in mind I'd had a few beers so was maybe over exuberant)....I'd just like to clarify a couple of points. It was recorded at The Bass Day in Manchester 2007. It was in no way, shape or form, an "endorsement vid". It was simply Nigel sitting down at someone else's stall, bass in hand, having a bit of fun. Someone chose to video it, and put it on YouTube. Not Nigel, not his employers, not his endorsers.......a punter. I've known Nigel for many years since he worked in A1, although I don't see him often, but I can vouch for him being an excellent bassist. I saw him in Dare, which certainly wasn't a slaptastic w*nkfest. Like some have said, you cannot judge an entire repertoire of someone purely on a couple of minutes on YouTube. I've just this week discussed the same argument with my 14 year old niece that "4000" raised. Just because she dislikes something I like, why is it crap? Fine, if someone wants to discuss the merits and pitfalls of something, then do so, but for God's sake do it in the style of adults, not pre-pubescent teenagers.
I agree with that I'm not going to laugh at a man who obviously is far more talented than me and has spent a lot of time practicing a technique that he enjoys, there is not a single thing wrong with that.
11. Paid for some P-bass knobs 2 months ago still haven't got them and my PM's are not being renurned. Hate to give bad feedback but I have no choice.
12. £500 would be top for me so all my GASing for Stingrays and Sadowski's is pointless.
13.
Mine?
I love it but I really really dislike sunburst.
14. Right I could get the Dano now I have the money but I'm wondering if it is worth it. I love P-bass's and wouldn't mind some kind of ray but the main thing is something that isn't a starter bass I want something I can gig. Am I asking too much for the money I have?
15. How much gear you got? We are playing in London on Friday and might be able to sort something out as we are taking the van.
16. It's black and only 3 months old, as I have a compressor on the way so no longer need it. Say £1.50 postage ?
17.
As a follow up to the "fastest bass guitarist in the world" thread, and another i saw somewhere along the lines of "is it possible to be too good", check out the guy in the vid below. I nearly split my sides. Haven't laughed so much since the Wicker Man remake. Not the effect he had in mind i'll wager. :-) Cheers, Jake M
I think he is damn good, if I could play like that the stuff I do play would be super easy. I always think drunk Fat Mike is funny.
18. I'm going through brum today, I'm considering it.
19.
As I've mentioned in previous threads on the forum, I used to own a gorgeous Ibanez Roadstar RB950 bass guitar. It's one of the very few basses that I've regretted selling. In a quest to find another, I set up a search on eBay. Several fruitless months have passed. Last Friday I was told that I was being made redundant....you can see where this is going can't you....well it's worse than that! My very own bass has appeared on eBay at the time when I have no money and no job. Here's the link Someone somewhere has really got it in for me......
If I had the money I would buy it and use till you had the cash but alas I'm skint and have a missus :S
20. It just proves on Ebay you have to stick to your guns and don't get carried away. When I was looking at Ampegs one that I wanted went for nearly £300 but I left it and got one 2 weeks later for £165 you are always going to get idiots with more money than sense,
21.
Pissman. Brilliant!
+1
22.
Dont man, this guy is a pain to deal with, unresponsive and the bass has serious bucklerash and the pickguard is an actual ray pickguard and thus extra screw holes have been drilled into it and done very poorly at an angle
Cheers buddy.
