1. I've got lots of rack screws about 16 black and about 40 silver and brand new. Tell me how many you need and i will send them
2. I did notice that, thanks for that i should have mentioned it above. I bought way too many of these rack screws and then i had some turn up with the 1u blanking panel i bought. I think I'm gonna give them away in the recycle section
3. Just had a great 4u rack case turn up, he sold it as 'Scuffed' i just looked all round the damn thing i can't find a single mark. He gave me constant communication and he saved me £40 What more could you ask for? Would buy from him again in a heartbeat. just one question i bought some screws for it, they came with these square nut things and washers do i need them?
4. A great one man and his bass punk song
5.
now THAT'S punk, dude! Oooh I'm ever so funny!
indeed you are. But seriously i wouldn't know where to start with a pedalboard like that.
6.
Good thing you don't have to use it then isn't it
Damn right i barely know what the volume knob on my amp does
7. They look awesome but imagian a black scratchplate on the Jazz and a wihite scratchplate on the P.
8.
Done! How hard is it to tell if you have a 25k EB volume pedal? Dare you plug in? Read the story here http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showpost.php...p;postcount=202
That looks like a serious amount of overkill to me.
9.
Last night my guitarist sprung on me that he wants our first gig to be next friday! (well he did ask me if it was alright first ), it's only four songs though, and provided we get a couple of practice sessions in before then we should be alright, we've only really had about four sessions anyway with us all there. I'm really looking forward to it though, should be a good laugh!
Haha awesome Where abouts is it? what type of sruff are you playing?
10.
+1 A Wilhelm Scream FTW. Behold: http://vimeo.com/629705 not seen many other punk/hxc bassists come anywhere near this guy in skillz. and he plays with his fingers too which is raaare for punk rock!
He is good but i really don't like the music.
11. What about Punk basslines? Some of my faves All Of Me - NOFX Six Pack - Black Flag Maxwell Murder - Rancid (obviously) Murderers Shoe - Wonk Unit Press Corpse - Anti-Flag Crazy - Me First And The Gimme Gimmes American Jesus - Bad Religion
12. I'm gonna call Fat Mike not only is he under rated but he can assemble a headless bass with his bare hands
13. The bass player from an awesome band we play with called Wonk Unit started playing a Thunderbird from playing a P, it didn't last long itr wouldn't even fit in his gig bag. I love Gibson guitars but i wouldn't touch a bass witha 30ft pole
14. I have got all the paint off now, it gave me a massive blister on my thumb. Anyway before i primer it does anyone know what i should do with the screw holes for the bridge and pickguard to stop them from getting blocked by the pant? cheers
15.
Can't remember his name, but the guy from Bouncing Souls is pretty good. Always like Rise Against's basslines too.
Agreed Chris from Anti-Flag is an awesome bassist too. But i think we can all agree that Matt Freeman is the best bassist in Punk.
16.
Nice guitars! Anyone know who makes them?
I don't but they have at least 2 each in different colours. They are awesome live.
17.
NOFX haven't played in Scotland for years, the bastards. Great band though, Fat Mike's pretty underrated as a bass player I reckon.
I totally agree some of the bass parts in The Decline i find impossible to play, also some of the stuff he does with ME First i awesome too.
18.
I'd recommend the Decline, its one track but its nearly 20 mins long, and its brilliant
+999999 Last time i saw them they played the whole thing
19.
Confession - never heard NOFX despite loads of recommendations. Whats their best album so I can take a listen?
My personal Fave is Ribbed but Punk In Drublic is the big one i guess Try this
20. NOFX are awesome own everything they havew ever made on vinyl . Clarky loving the band man Bullet Bar is a great venue if your not put on with 4 metal bands :S I might as well do a bit of self serving The Plan
21. Inspired by Bilbo, I have nothing but respect for mans love for his music. So i thought i would share my love Punk, i love the urgency i love the speed i love the way i feel when i hear a bass line played in hyper-speed with a nice palm muted guitar over the top and most of all i love the "this is what i play if you don't like it f*ck off " attitude of it all.
22. Haha yeah i can't believe how bad we sounded then He had ripped the strap pin out of the side he put it back in but it only lasted 2 more songs then he had to borrow the most embarrassing guitar ever, a Tom Delonge Strat
