One thing is for certain i need to do some serious research. I will put the manufacturer and pic up here when i get it and see if anyone can shine a light or offer me 20k for it

    Hey guys not sure if this is the right forum. I have a banjo hand made in Boston in the 1890's i have just had it fully restored and is now in perfect condition. It is a small 5 string banjo and has cost me £450 to have restored but i have just been laid off so can't really afford to keep it, does anybody know a ballpark figure what it would be worth or where to sell it?     I need to improve my whole technique to be honest, i was just wondering if compression would improve my sound. I'm going into canterbury tomorrow so i'll go to the guitar shop and try one.

    I have been playing bass for years, i have never used compression. What does it do? P.S I know I'm a dumbass.

    If you have home contents insurance check your policy, mine covers me for £5k for stuff i take out of the house and covers everything inside my house.

    I will take the machines and the bridge when they come up. I would have taken the neck but I'm not good enough to play fretless (or fretted for that matter but it make it easier)

    Andy Crocket is amazing, again it's all personal taste but he does the work i need doing on my bass and when i go to his workshop the stuff he is building always amazes me.
