Last night I had a gig thrust upon me at the last minute, I had to give 4 people a lift now driving a Corsa I couldn't fit a proper sized bass in the car, as you may know I have just bought a shortscale for £41 which I have done up (thread here [url="http://basschat.co.uk/topic/180690-mustangbronco-project/"]http://basschat.co.uk/topic/180690-mustangbronco-project/[/url] ) Anyway I was astonished, it sounded great, £41 for a fully gigable bass, f*** me sideways, what a time for beginners.

Even if it was easier to play it's not easier as you have to put up with guitarists, drummers and singers.

I bought some proper binding, would have meant routing a slot on both sides of the fingerboard and as I said before you have to keep the fact it is a cheap bass and you have to make rational decisions.

TBH I have never had any neck problems with even the cheapest P, if you did have 2 truss rods it'd be a mega pain in the ass, this will be perfect.
