1. Bought a bass from Gaf top fella.
 2. I was at Gafbass' house the other night and tried his MIJ Jazz and I fell in love with the neck, a maple Mighty Mite neck, now I'm thinking about getting one for my MIM Jazz. Would the quality be better or worse than the neck I have at the moment and can you get them with black block inlays?
 3. It's a spare rosewood one I won't be needing because the maple one is more my taste. £25 plus postage
 4.
Gravity picks too! Thanks Mel!
+2
 5. Seems to only happen when I use the Musicman through the SVT2 any other bass is fine through that head and any other head is fine with that bass.
 6.
Is the diaphragm in the tweeter itself f*cked?
How would I tell?
 7. I'm getting a rattle from my tweeter in my Ampeg 410HLF, I've taken the grille off I can't find any loose screws. Any ideas?
 8.
Still not grasping this, I don't see there is a top, let alone getting over it.
I like the fact the top speaker is miked.
 9.
+1 v nice and gafbassish.
Haha I bought it from him.
 10.
I think so, too, for the stock cabs - but try hardwiring the input and speaker loom before giving up. The wee press-in pressure fit tube into squeezer connectors are not the best single path interface. I turned a 'what's this about?' SVT115 into a 'on, yeah!' in about 5 minutes. Started with the the jack. That was SO MUCH better, I did the driver, too. And that was BETTER still. I haven't done the 410 because 4 x driver soldering and such is a bit more painstaking. And hey! the cab works fine already!
I sold both of my HE's and got a HLF due to needing a 4OHM cab.
 11. The b410he sounds better than the SVT410HE to me.
 12.
Hello! Been busy. Playing bass again now, though! Hope all is still well in Basschat Towers – a quick read through the forum shows that you guys have finally agreed to agree to disagree on previously-contentious topics including jazz, picksnfingers, fendervsnotfender, other band members being irresponsible, fast slapping, bands that aren't yours being famous, underrated bassists, overrated bassists, Badass II bridges, awful venues, and whether you can teach groove. It's a regular bodhisattva moshpit in here.
The 'what is the best bass for metal' war still rages on.
 13.
not even a comment for an amp like this??????? What have things come to?
Who needs to comment, it's an all valve Ampeg, what is there to say?
 14.
3 tone sunburst..... why would you need any more?
Because I have taste.
 15.
You've suddenly forgotten where you are in the song and what you're supposed to play. Do you: a) Pretend your lead/amp/bass has a sudden fault. Play a drone note until you remember what you're supposed to play. c) Throw your hands up and admit defeat. d) Panic. e) Do all of the above.
I just fiddle around in the key.
 16. The reason I have a 4OHM cab is because my head is 4 or 2 OHM all valve so an 8OHM cab will cause damage.
 17. I've never seen one that looks good so I have gone no further.
 18.
Would love an acoustic bass but its getting into a lot of cash even for a cheap one and would like to use the Stingray to practice with. Ashdown is an option as it has headphone setc, but if I went down the practice amp route I would want it to make a reasonably good sound through the speaker and it does look a bit small for a Stingray 5. Might be suprised though so will look out for one to try as its not too expensive.
I had the mini rig version which took a passive 5 fine but an active may push it a bit.
