1.
I have the same thing with my SVT 4 Pro. No problem with taking the feet off, they are just screwed into holes in the casing. You might want to check the rear panel for holes that will take the feet. That way you are less likely to lose them. It just depends on the space you have in your rack lids.
Done it now, my old SVT5 had holes in the back for feet but this one has 4 feet already on the back.
2. I would have taken it if I hadn't already committed to another.
3. The head won't fit in my case unless I take the feet off, I know this is going to sound silly but is it OK to do so, I mean are the screws attached to the board or anything?
4. Got a Ampeg 410HLF sitting at home that I bought last night I can't wait to get home and try the OBT through it (and the SVT)
5. Roon is a top man with an awesome name.
6. Picked up a cab from Perry last night and after 17 hours of driving I must say the stop at his house was just what I needed, a top man with a great outlook on life.
7. Played that 11 string last night and even though I still would prefer the car, the tone out of it is incredible especially around the 'traditional' registers and the man who owns it also owns some serious talent, the man can play.
8. Good news mate, you may want to post it here http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...5&hl=bb2000
9. I'm putting on a gig in Canterbury in September all proceeds will be going to those who got looted, even if it puts food on their table for a few days it's worth doing.
10.
Am I missing something? I've been told my a few techs that it's not damaging until a load is put on the amp, & since there's no instrument lead plugged in then there is no load being applied? I know virtually nothing about these things, just repeating what I was told?
Won't make a difference, simple rule of thumb is you need a matched load on an all valve amp whether you have an instrument plugged in or not.
11.
Hi all, I'm after borrowing a 65W power supply for my old 17" G4 powerbook. Basically mine's given up the ghost and I'd like to borrow one to reformat the drive before I sell it for spares. It's the old 'barrel' type connector, not the new Magsafe thing. Anyone feeling benevolent?
Would it take a standard laptop 65W charger?
12. Then learn some notes and stuff I suppose.
13.
Please tell me it was a five string which cost over a grand Come to think of it, wasn't it you that tried to buy that orange five string? Shows how prejudices can alter over time with changing views and needs.
I have had 3 five strings since then, I also own a £1500 bass.
14.
Anyone else experience this issue with active basses? I have a hot 18v active bass and this could be a deal breaker for me.
I use my active through it no problems but if it is running too hot you could always change the valves
15.
Wait till I get a Warwick.
I joked but I did end up with a Warwick and it was awesome. Good to see Si's old posts, he is sore;y missed. What ever happened to mrcrow? He hasn't been on in ages.
16.
Believe me if I didnt have the AD200b I would DEFINITELY have the OBT. Its a damn good amp, and its a good price!
Weirdly I think I prefer it to my SVT
17.
Would probably take the tele if I can get it posted.
I'm gonna pick this up Rob but if it doesn't work for me I'll give you first dibs.
18. Quite tempted Shaun, is there anything of mine you'd trade it for?
19.
Finally got a chance to take a couple of quick photos of my recent acquisition (previously Mylkinut's):
I have been offered one of these in a trade, I'm sorely tempted.
20. It's best amp ever. When you consider price, tone, looks, power, weight, volume. That is all.
21. Cliff Richard fan by chance?
