1.
That seems stupid cheap for a neo 4x12.
It's what I paid for it.
2. I'm tentatively putting this back up again, I may do a P/EX for a Stingray, Sterling or Jazz
3. It's a great cab but not what I need atm. It's 99lb 4 X 12 1250W RMS Paid £375 for it would like that back or would do a PX for an RS212 I did give someone first dibs so this is a feeler until they get back to me.
4. I think if me and Chris crank our rigs we will be living on a Kent shaped island in the North sea.
5.
I had the 500w version. Using it through a Marshall VBC 412, with flat eq, my gain & volume settings were both on 2, for reasonably sized pub gigs (100/150 capacity). And we were a punk band - Pistols/Clash/Sham etc, so not quiet. Save yourself the £100. Aside from blowing out the doors in the O2, I can`t imagine a use for the 1000w version!
I think a 1000W would be a cab destroyer, my cab is 1250W and I sometimes worry putting the OBT 500 through it too loud.
6. I've heard there's a Whole Lot of Love for him in that area.
7.
hahahah! this alone has made me want it even more! going to order one tomorrow, now the choice is gak or DV247! lol
GAK, top service.
8.
That's how golfers should dress, good man. None of those dodgy cardigans and strides.
Haha, the trick is to keep some decent clothes in your bag and change at the 2nd tee.
9. Basses aren't to my taste but does something different to the coffee table makers, great news.
10. I can't think of an occasion where the 500 wouldn't be loud enough, for pure volume it beats my SVT2 Pro.
11.
Must admit, am with you there Wayne, I love Ampeg cabs, would dearly like to be able to use them, but I just can`t lift them anymore, my back "goes" everytime, so have to do without from now on The only possibility is the Pro Neo Series, but a bit beyond my means - and still a bit heavy at 64lb for a 4x10.
That's not too bad, my GK Neo 412 is 90Lbs.
12. IMO nothing sounds as good as an Ampeg cab.
13. Used to get a very similar tone on my old SVT 5 with the octaver on and the dirty channel engaged.
14.
I can hear you from here mate (only 10 miles after all). Thanks, I may take you up on that, are you gigging in Canters soon?
2nd August at the Beer Cart.
15. I thought this was going to be about Hogwarts.
16. Am I the only one that plays with my thumb on slow songs? It gives a really smooth deep sound that is different to playing with fingers, I have been doing it for years but I never hear of anyone else doing it.
17. Put this with this and you could have an amazing amp.
18. Pretty much done my gig rig now, just needs to be racked up.
19. I have one clear, loud and light, I just got in from using it tonight with a full band, had my amp set to about 2 on the volume, cut through really well.
20.
Did you speak to Neil? Top sevice from Neil on numerous occasions
The very same, top guy.
