I can't think of an occasion where the 500 wouldn't be loud enough, for pure volume it beats my SVT2 Pro.

IMO nothing sounds as good as an Ampeg cab.

Used to get a very similar tone on my old SVT 5 with the octaver on and the dirty channel engaged.

Am I the only one that plays with my thumb on slow songs? It gives a really smooth deep sound that is different to playing with fingers, I have been doing it for years but I never hear of anyone else doing it.

Pretty much done my gig rig now, just needs to be racked up.

I have one clear, loud and light, I just got in from using it tonight with a full band, had my amp set to about 2 on the volume, cut through really well.
