A very nice example - do you know who fitted the LEDs and when (SIMs)?

The battery cover at the back and all the necessary cavities have been made by Overwater in order to allow the addition of a preamp and all the wiring if any future owner fancied that.
You can turn this bass into an active beast without any structural modification if you wish !
Thank you - excellent idea!

Is that a battery cover on the back of the body? If so, is there an active option (or has the bass been active at some point)? I’m not really an Overwater fan but this looks lovely

Wow, really lovely and very distinctive - Jon’s workis absolutely first class

I've been using - and I've been very impressed with - a Bergantino B Amp. Very/increasingly flexible, around 800w, will go down to 2 and 2.7ohms. Fully parametric eq, studio quality DI, VR compression, cab profiles (if you use Bergs but good with others), very nicely designed and great build, presets/memory function, very punchy and very loud (if you need that). Light too at around 6.5lbs. Not the cheapest option but an extremely impressive amp in all respects (IMO)

A big old Trace Elliot (iv-Series 6) and trouser the remaining £700?

I’ve had expensive and poor results with two of the leading amp techs in Manchester - this with extremely high-end ss gear - real studio quality kit. Roland wouldn’t touch it (valve only). I’m now at a loss and looking outside the city. Good luck to the op with this.

Recently sold an AER Amp One to Chris - what a lovely guy - met in Birmingham for the handover. Chris was extremely flexible and accommodating and I could have talked for hours. Everything in perfect order - payment entirely straightforward and immediate. Deal in complete confidence - one of BC's finest

great deal with Mark recently on a Bergantino - excellent communications and highly flexible/helpful. Item exactly as described - great packing and delivery perfectly on-time. Deal in confidence

Sold a big, heavy old Trace Elliot MkIV to Dan - really easy deal with great communications. Really good to chat too. Extremely trustworthy and reliable - deal in confidence

Thanks all for the lovely comments - an extremely solid amp with classic Trace tone. There’s been a lot of interest in this. I should point out that there is a misding slider cap, and the heavy duty is worn but still entirely functional. I haven’t used the DI but assume it works – apparently, the amp was serviced around a year prior to my purchase, so about two years ago.

This used to be mine. One of the best Ps I’ve played - everything about this bass is just right

I may now be able to ship this in the UK - cost would be around £8-10

SOLD - Now reduced to £20.
Aguilar 3u rackbag (made by Protec) in good, used condition. Wooden inner shell so highly stable and protective. Zips work perfectly (though one tab on the front pocket is missing). A bit of corrosion on one of the D rings and no shoulder strap - I’ve never had the strap but they’re pretty useless with a really heavy head in the bag. I think that these were around £100 new and I'm not sure that they're still available. An easy solution for protection and transportation of your DB750 or 751 - or for any other rack mount gear. Collection from Manchester (no trades thanks). I may be able to ship - at cost - if you're happy for me to just affix a label (rather than package).

Trace Elliot AH250 mk iv - used but in good condition for its age (probably mid 1980s). Tested around two years ago and thoroughly cleaned around six months ago. The UV light functions perfectly as does the amp. This is a heavy unit - around 35-40lbs - and for collection only. Extremely solid with classic trace tone and 11 band graphic eq. Amongst the finest of the Trace family in my opinion. Comes with the speaker connection lead. Collection only, just to the East of Manchester, and no offers thanks. Less than £1 per Trace watt - and the lovely UV light

Is this just the pre? Phenomenal unit - without doubt my favourite 1u front-end

A lovely AER Amp One in excellent, used condition. Just one very small indentation on the top just below the handle. This has been gigged around 3/4 times a year for four years and used at a couple of rehearsals. If you're looking, I suspect that you'll understand just what these are and what they can do. Probably (almost certainly) the best bass combo available. Feature packed with a tone that genuinely defies the size of the unit - this is not a hyperbolic claim (as anyone who has owned an Amp One will attest). Comes with AER cover, also in excellent condition. I'm afraid that this is collection from central Birmingham only. I don't have time to pack for shipping (or a box to ensure safe transit). I don't have an image at present but will upload some on Monday. This is the standard Amp One that you'll see elsewhere (not the recently re-styled version). Cash would be lovely but bank transfer is good. No trades thanks.

I’ve had loads of high end bags and these are brilliant - a bit heavier than some but more pritective than nearly all - my favourite (with the Fusion F1) bass bag

unbelievable bargain IMO!

For me, as others, this is one of the finest basses that Martin has ever produced (and there have been some incredibly beautiful basses!) I'm really surprised that this hasn't been sold. If I could play a six it would be

Much prefer these to the customs - played loads of them back in the day when Barratts in Manchester was the distributor. Lovely bit of history with that very desirable v neck profile (desirable for me anyway)
