Is it bad that I am getting flightcase GAS?
hahaha, me too! Lovely basses though - I've had a few - incredibly light and easy to play
-
Outstanding cab, outstanding seller. I use one of these - unbelievably good - ultra-solid but nuanced tone with remarkable presence. Not neo but not heavy - one-hand lift. Very tempted for a stereo rig

Wow, I have a spector shorty and the cases are lovely (they are fitted though so maybe not universal!. What an incredibly generous offer - I hope that the buyer will return the charity!

Huge rig. Which cab do you use?
Bergantino HD210 Went for heavyweight speakers too!

If the tubes have been changed you’ve probably replaced the potentially noisy 12au7. Lovely amps - heavy but worth every ounce

The finest touring amp head ever built imo. This is quite an early one too. What’s it like for treble hiss? Without the v4 12au7 change, these can be a bit noisy?
-
This looks beautiful and from one of the finest periods IMO. Playability and power and versatility of these basses is outstanding - 70% bridge pickup with bass boosted and treble cut through an Avalon U5 on setting 2 - tone nirvana. Very nice top on this example (mine’s padauk and just over 200 earlier in production). Bargain. Bought mine new in preference to Wal - still delighted with the decision
-
I had a Paulman - excellent instruments indeed! Very well put together and this looks gorgeous
-
Looks lovely! Is it black hardware (ad) or silver (images) - it looks like chrome or nickel on my phone?
-
The only Shuker I’ve owned was an outstanding bass - this looks like an absolute bargain! The sunburst is lovely too
-
That’s two of your basses I really want

I had the VS head - still have some recordings somewhere. Extremely powerful with a super growl. Lovely to see this looking good - I’d forgotten about the shape
-
oh no...just beautiful - something about the contouring back then that was just exquisite
-
Just saw all the related ads - if I had a hangar and £3.5k, I’d just have the lot shipped north. A seller of exquisite taste and one that evidently cares for his gear extremely well! Bump...this bass has me all excited

I haven’t seen a cleaner example since about ‘75. I love these! Still have my massively customised Ripper. Too big for me these days but playability is fabulous and a great growling tone. Original case too - extermely rare!
-
Still absolutely love this and surprised it's unsold - any chance of an image of the top of the body showing the tummy cut and elbow contour (usually extremely elegant on Ps of this vintage). I'm not a big Fender player but this looks like a gorgeous example
-
Apart from the classic look and aesthetic, I'm not a fan of vintage Fenders, or Fenders at all (especially the tone - it really does nothing for me). However, if I was going to buy a vintage Fender, it would be this - in my view, this is a really beautiful artefact - perfectly proportioned, lovely dark board, choice of two fantastic guards and subtle ageing to a classic colour. Gorgeous - surprised it hasn't gone yet

For dep jobs and walk-ins, I usually just take a bass and an AER Amp One (combo) - (bass) monitoring is frequently horrible, so the Amp One serves as a personal sound source and its DI out provides a high-quality feed to FoH. All reasonably light and convenient for fast load-in/out. If I know the engineer and have confidence in monitoring, a DI is sufficient (one of my personal favourites is an Avalon U5)
-
I had the 5 string (non x) version of this - absolutely beautiful instruments
-
I have the 2x10 version - absolutely brilliant cabs from my favourite builder. Efficient, loud, tight and articulate. A great pillar of our community too - somebody will love this.
-
It's also been through the hands of Mamelok's too by the look of it - that brings back a few memories. Love these and great for bass or guitar
-
Lovely - these come-up very rarely - rather exotic and highly desirable for guitar or bass. The mod makes a lot of sense too. I’m not a valve fan (I use an SF2) but this is an excellent acquisition for somebody. A very realistic price too IMO
Close String Spacing Basses - 4 string. - 16mm?

Might get away with it on a Status 32” with a Bendwell - just left mine in Birmingham but can try it next week if of interest (Streamline)
