Almost identical to my old CS - beautiful! Incredible price IMO

I've played loads and owned two or three (a Mk2 and Mk3 at least - ridiculous that I can't remember). They're a bass that I've always wanted to love, then when I get one, I don't. I used to play a lot of the Pro models (I lived near the distributor) and remember a pronounced v profile to the neck - I liked it a lot, many years ago, maybe not so much now. Possibly my technique, but I manage to make Wals sound much thinner than they sound in my memory.

I use an Amp One - the AER range is totally different to any other combo that I've used - tone, power, dynamics and depth are astounding - fantastic price IMO!

Louder, better looking, better tone, and lighter than an SVT (all IMO of course). When I walk into a venue and see one of these, I'm usually in for a treat. I'm fortunate to own a very high-end D but it will never sound like one of these

Thanks for the comments on colour - on reflection, this could be cobalt blue (a colour that I think Christian has used in the past). The board is lovely - do you know if its Rio rosewood?

I've owned a good number of Celinders over the years - the best J's available IMO (and I've tried pretty much everything). Is this LPB (and can you comment on condition?) I'm not sure that Christian is still building - too many difficulties In the past decade

Ahh, this was mine - I remember selling it to the US a few years ago. Nice top, don't remember any problems with the wiring. Sold it very cheaply by current standards (but made a few bob) and it's replacement made it worth it. First saw this in the Gallery then it popped up a few years later - board was massively too wide for me, but nice to have tried. Very even across the board, accurate, detailed tone. All this was before the Fodera story took off. Very nice bass for a collector or player - really nice chestnut, though the flux pattern wasn't my favourite of Fodera's early stock. Sounds nuts, but probably a bit of a bargain! Good luck - will probably fly out!

What a coincidence - despite my recognition that I really prefer SS, I too have been thinking very seriously about a Noble to use with Fender style basses! I'll let you know if I pull the trigger (and the Agi 680 really is a tremendous pre in every way!)

I had one of these before I moved to Millennia - the DB680 is a staggering pre - beautiful if you're looking for valve tones (it took me a long time to realise that I wasn't!)

I've played a Gibson Ripper for much of the past 35 years - inspired by Patrick Djivas of PFM (currently in the UK for two nights after a break of nearly 40 years). Have a listen to Chocolate Kings for a bit of Ripper clank. Djivas was reckoned by Pastorius to be the world's second best player too

SOLD pending payment - An almost new set of TI flats - 9 weeks old but with just four or five hours of play. Cut for a Fender P or J. Silks in generally good condition but some minimal fray/wear at contact points. Shipped in the UK for £20

If you get a chance, audition an AER Amp One - an extraordinary unit. 200 watts and a 1x10 but the performance is genuinely staggering. I've seen a lot of players just bewildered at what comes out of an unassuming and compact (but heavy) little box. There's a lot of DSP and filtering going on but it's not just the power - the tone is something to behold (pure and transparent and very capable of an old school vibe if necessary). The compressor is excellent too. They come up on here for around £650 to £700 (but fairly occasionally)
