I loved the Feelgoods and they were never the same without Wilko that's for sure. I saw them loads of times in the 70s and what was great about those times was not only the music but that you'd just jump on a bus or the tube and you could see them down the pub. No queueing, no advance tickets, no rip-off prices for drinks you just paid your 50p for a couple of hours of rock, sweat and beers. Lovely.

I would have snapped that up if i lived near there. Another example of a quality bass that no one is going to take much notice of because they aren't fashionable. Fashion rules in the bass world as much as anywhere else which means some great bargains can be found for those who don't mind being unfashionable.

I also think that this whole thread should really be 'bass players that don't get the credit they deserve' rather than 'favourite underrated bassist'. The majority of bassists listed are not underrated at all but many definitely don't get the credit they deserve.

These were decent basses in their day and an absolute must for anyone now in a Korgis tribute band. I seem to remember that Geoff Gale was a Luthier in Bristol.
