1. Definitely not Bass Directs fault they turn up for sale. I'm interested in your (and others) views shared on the term 'immaculate' for a relic bass and what's expected. Immaculate: Perfectly clean Having no flaw or error
 2.
So there's different kinds of relicing? It's OK if it was done at the factory but not OK if done by the player? That's a new one on me!
I think the issue comes when you try to apply a label like 'immaculate' to a reliced bass. That clearly can't include unlimited trashing from previous owner, so is it immaculate as it comes out of production with the builders relicing process applied, and then further owner relicing stops it being immaculate, or can a relic bass never be deemed immaculate...?
 3.
Well it does clearly say 'Relic'. Question is, is it a factory Relic or just a slightly-mistreated-by-previous-owner(s) 'Relic'?
Exactly - immaculate is not really the right descriptor here.
 4.
For example - this is a secondhand bass on sale at BD. The description reads, "A secondhand bass in immaculate condition". Please look at this link and tell me this bass is 'immaculate'. http://bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Fender_Jazz_1961_Relic_Custom_Shop_RI.html
I guess where's it's a relic bass, difficult to say what were original marks and what would be the immaculate imperfect finish...
 5.
I used to be 35" (MTD, Ritter, Sei, Lakland blah blah blah blah) all the way and then I fell into a 33" Shuker Uberhorn and I now have two 33" 5 strings and could not be happier. I have no bass guitar GAS at all for the first time in about 30 years. It is all very odd
Interesting... Are they tuned with a low B?
 6. It's definitely worth asking the question. Especially on their used stock. I ordered a bass listed as immaculate, but when it arrived it wasn't, and it also didn't have the preamp that was listed either, they were very good at taking it back and I didn't have to pay return shipping (obviously). Another time I ordered a bass advertised with a well know quality gig bag, but the zip was broken and torn from the bag, making it unusable. I must admit having a bit of struggle trying to find a solution, they didn't seem to understand that I factored a working gig bag into account of the overall price, they seemed to think it wasn't their issue at it was second hand, I explained I was buying the bass from them and really they should've checked or not listed the gig bag as a feature of the sale. Got there in the end though and I was allowed to buy a new bag at their cost price. Mistakes happen, that's where customer service comes in. Other experiences have been very good. So a bit of a mixed bag from me.
 7. BC Rich Virgin.
 8. My Mesa d800 got shaken towards the edge of my Super Twin a few times. Going to try some non slip matting to go in between.

 12. Traded amp and cab with Marinus. Very good comms, quick to arrange and sort out delivery - very competent and experienced. There was a slight glitch, but he was very supportive and provided a quick resolution, so really can't ask for more. Don't let the fact he's not UK based put you off, dealing with Marinus is easy; I have found him excellent in communications and providing shipping options.
 13. When is it coming out?...!
