1. Bought/traded a GK rb1001 for Darren's Puma 1000. Great guy, great communications, well packaged, insured and tracked delivery, item received exactly as described. Very happy indeed. Highly recommended. Cheers!
2.
His DVD kind of builds on what he says in the book. I highly recommend that.
Definitely! Love the DVD, can't fault it at all, very valuable to me. 😀
3. EBS Microbass 2?
4. I love them on my fretless 6er. Not cheap though. Thomann for me too.
5. Just finished reading it for the first time today. Very different style of structuring the stories in an almost parable fashion to highlight the learning points. Enjoyable read with lots of focus on otherwise generally ignored aspects of playing music. Not entirely convinced of the style of the writing though for my tastes. But certainly don't regret reading it, thought provoking, and I will likely dip back into it.
6. I still can't find the panda in it, can anyone help?...
7. Some interesting trade offers, thanks guys, but still here for now...
8. 4 mins... not bad... not bad at all!
9. Bump, get your offers in quick, considering trade options...
10. 6 strings for me on my main bass. 😀
11.
You can maybe understand why. I mean there's only a certain number of times you can see a thread entitled 'what flats are best...
Which flats were they? (Or should I start another thread?) ...
12. No worries. The string spacing still lets you get in with the thumb, while the short scale makes light work of the left hand, really easy to play and seems a fast neck. Forgot to say it's in Folkestone, Kent, UK (but happy to ship).
13. Nice little amp there, Rok's a good guy too. I think these go for around 500 without the gig bag! GLWTS. 😀
14.
So, in summary, some basses have dead spots, and some don't.
And yet... The posts are still landing..!
15. All the time I enjoy it I'll stay, but my time spent on different hobbies does fluctuate, so likely will my 'commitment' to BassChat I guess... We'll see, or not, as I drift off unnoticed...
16. Hi, thanks for your interest; spacing at the nut is approximately 8.8mm and at the bridge it's roughly 18.8mm.
17. Cheapest price I'm happy to do for a quick sale at £499! Open to trade offers too...
18. Great pre amps these! GLWTS
19. Yep, I do miss my RH750, and am trying desperately to not buy the one for £300 currently in the classifieds!
20. I had a Vester copy of a Warwick thumb bass, A/B'd with the real thing, and fairly alike, clear differences of course. but a very well playing bass in its own right, despite having lots of damage and play wear, it had held up ok. Generally seem to be good quality basses for the price.
21. I'm interested! Hope it's not a long wait...
