1. Nice! Very good choices there too, I've owned and loved both of those heads. Still got the gk mb800.
2. Very, very nice indeed! GLWTS 😀
3. Some interesting trade offers, keep them coming... Black Friday: £1399 for a straight sale! For trade offers I need at least £600 coming my way I'm afraid.
4. Thank you.
5. What scale length is this please?
6. A partial 6 string unlined fretless player here. I really enjoy it. Fretless gives you some wonderful mwah, and more flexibility in some cases. I prefer unlined to lined, as I find it easier to get the intonation right, when I see lines my fingers seem to be programmed to fall in behind the line, as you would on frets, making me very much out of tune! However, chords above the 12th fret marker are well out of my skill level, in fact they even start to degrade heading up that way for me. The 6 strings do allow you to stay in one position and open up extra notes though. Pro's and con's I guess.
7.
but I have to admit that a six string fretless ebony board without fretlines is really sexy.
Yep, nothing quite like it!
8. Thanks Jordi. I've got a hasty and rough sound sample down, if anyone is interested then PM me your email and I'll send it over...
9. Neck radius: not sure, feels similar to my MTD's, not too round, not too flat. let me know if there's an easy way of measuring this...
10. Hi fingerz String spacing is approximately 19mm, it's an adjustable high mass Fodera bridge so can go from 18-20mm I believe. The string spacing at the nut is approximately 9.75mm. I will try and get some sound clips recorded later today. Thanks for your interest.
11. £1199 for straight sale- Limited time! For sale, a fantastic Fodera NYC Empire, made in 2006 (I believe). I can't imagine that it would be possible to get any other Fodera for a price this low! Comes with black hard case and free insured shipping within UK. Happy to ship to EU if buyer pays difference in shipping. Would much prefer a sale, but could consider a trade if cash coming my way... The body is alder, painted black, with transparent clear pick guard, a three piece maple neck with angled matching headstock (like customs ones), rosewood fingerboard, Seymour Duncan single coils in 60s position, 2 band Pope preamp with pasive tone, 35" scale, 4.4kg fully equipped with Fodera hardware and black hard case. The bass sounds and plays very good, and the preamp works very well in this bass. Sound like a fine classic jazz bass in passive, very fat if you want in active mode, and plays like a custom Fodera. The frets don't have noticeable wear, the truss rod works fine, and it can be adjusted with very low action. The neck on this bass is incredible, the best 5 I've ever played. The bolt on joint is solid as a rock and provides an incredible amount of sustain with no dead or even slightly weak spots that I can find anywhere on the neck! There are many signs of use: as is the case with fantastic basses that play well. There's buckle rash on the rear of the bass, a couple of small chips and dings to the finish, light marks to the front of the bass, but the front is in good condition. There is some signs of fret wear, but not even close to needing any attention. The neck is in fantastic condition with only a couple of very small marks/dings that do not affect playability at all. The tip of the headstock has a couple of chips. Overall this is an incredibly playable bass with a great low B, some mojo, and lots of superb tone at a fantastic price. Just shout if you need any more photo's etc... Photos: http://s1379.photobucket.com/user/musashimonkey/library/Fodera%20NYC
12. Jordi is a fantastic guy to deal with, great communications, well packaged, great bass, all good! Highly recommended.
13. I have purchased books from Ian before - perfect, no issues at all. But I wanted to express what a great guy he is. He's helped me out with my 6 string bass technique through Skype, a very calm methodical teacher, very helpful. So if you want to buy from Ian or get some bass tuition he's really very good. Certainly recommended.
14. Pete is a top guy to deal with. I shipped a Demeter amp to Pete and unfortunately it got damaged in transit. He was a great help, very understanding and extremely supportive to help me with the courier company insurance, he went well out of his way to help out (sending photos, videos and re-boxing up and shipping off on my behalf). Excellent communications, very friendly, completely honest and extremely trustworthy, goes above and beyond what you'd expect. Can't recommend highly enough. Thanks Pete.
15. Oh man, congratulations, and sad to see you sell this beauty. A true work of art. I've had a quick go on this and it's superbly playable and very attractive indeed. GLWTS
16.
Is it just me that has a little trepidation about taking set-up advice from someone called Buzz?
Me too, but I'm sold now, sounds good on my MTD's. 😀
17. I'm interested (Folkestone) Kent, if anyone else is this way we can get it passed around this area too?...
18. Thanks for all your support guys. Sorry everyone, now SOLD.
19.
Amp, check. Berg cabs, check. Precision? Nope. Now I have to buy one!
Brilliant!!
20. Thanks everyone. It's now on hold pending the usual.
21. Bought Daz's Woolly Mammoth. Great pedal in fantastic condition. It was sent out super quick, very well packaged, great guy, good communications. Highly recommended to deal with.
22. i had some issues with my rh750 buttons and knobs falling off out of warranty, contacted TC electronic via email and they sent new ones straight out, no fuss, and completely free. They were very easy to swap over. Very good after sales and after warranty care! Great heads. GLWTS
23. Thanks for all the kind comments guys. Currently still available...
24. Had the same experience with my out of warranty rh750 too. Can't complain about any lack of support!
