18. Real Electronics are the UK licensed servicing and parts. Ring them up tell them the serial number of the amp and they will next day you a new speaker I can t remember how much mine cost. I've used them 4 or 5 times You can fit it yourself, 8 screws and some push on connectors easy job
19.
You shouldn't need to seal it before spraying. All you need is a clean, smooth finish sanded down with the finest paper you can get. I sometimes go down to a 3200 grit, but 1500 might be ok. Then you need a good quality lacquer. You could try Danish oil. I've not used it but others like it. I usually use spray lacquer. If you're stuck I can do it if you mail it to me.
Another issue I have is I live in a flat and have no garden and can't spray in the house for obvious reasons...so I think I'm stuck if you'd be up for it I would love to have it done by someone that is way wiser than me. I have a fresh can of spray lacquer which I can send if its any use?
20. Btw i have since done some wet & dry on the built up areas. I haven't used sanding sealer either, would this make lacquering no possible?
21. So I stripped off the purple poly finish and decided to have an attempt at staining the wood, it looks ok for a first attempt. I have filled the black areas in with spray paint to make sure its black but now it needs lacquering but I have no clue where to start to get a good result. Can anybody give me advice or even someone that is capable of doing it for me? Cheers Mike
